I'm moving down to South Carolina soon. I wasn't planning to move until after the wedding but I got a job that I can't turn down. I love my hometown, but I don't know if I could stand another winter haha. I love the warm weather
Although, I am not a baseball fan as much as I am a hockey fan. I am going to miss that.

We're watching yesterday's Rays/Orioles game.  H is bummed that we're moving back to the Tampa area now that the Rays sort of suck.

Isn't it Mica??? I was too. I will say that all of these new mods threw me for a loop kind of. I was like "Wow, May 2012 seems like so far away to plan a wedding" but then I realized that I'm having a 15 month engagement.

ggirl, I moved here from my hometown 3 years ago and it was the best decision that I've made! I always wanted to live somewhere else and I knew if I didn't leave then I never would. I found a job a lot quicker than I thought I would (pre-economy tank) so it took my by surprise. It was kind of like ripping off a bandaid though. I didn't have time to really think about everything I was leaving. FI wasn't the happiest though since he didn't get his man time in our new house that he was hoping to have before I moved here.

Holy evening post!!

Well, I'm home safe (coming back from visiting FI). But I almost DIED driving!!! it was raining/snowing/hailing and people were whipping by me and I couldn't see any lines on the road and I for sure thought I was going to be hit by some fast-driving lunatic. NOT FUN.

The electronic wine kiosk is this thing in one of the grocery stores near my house. Most grocery stores don't sell alcohol, but this one does. You basically go up to, swipe your ID, pick a wine, pay for it, and it comes out vending machine style. Sometimes I go to this particular store on purpose because it's just much cooler than picking something off of a shelf, lol.

Yeah, I don't really have time to think about it since its happening so quick. I'm excited though. Since FI has been living down there already (military), he knows the area, but since he won't be there when I move I get to explore by myself and feel comfortable on my own. I also want to make sure to develop my own friends before he comes back so I can feel even more comfortable. I am also looking forward to setting up the apartment. Since he isn't there, I can do what I want to it. Win for me!

Mixtape, I hate when people drive like that in winter. I hate the attitude that just because you have 4 wheel drive, your car somehow has superpowers to drive on ice. It really only helps get you out of the ditch after you've slid into it.

Nice. The grocery stores sell beer and wine here so I had no clue. We get people visiting from California that can't believe we don't sell liquor in the grocery stores. Every time they ask I tell them that they have to go to a liquor store to get it.

i don't know how stand-along liqour stores here stay in business.  they are so much more expensive than getting it at target.

I mostly like it because no one can really make fun of the bottles of I-just-need-to-drink-now-and-forget-today cheap wine I buy sometimes.

We don't have liquor or wine in the grocery stores near me. Not sure about stores in other parts of the city. It's always a PITA.

FI has joined a wine club though from California that ships up a case of wine every few months. It keeps us stocked up.

In Washington state we sell wine and beer in the grocery stores but liquor in the liquor stores.

They tried to get it sold in grocery stores in NYS but the law didn't pass... yet... I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually does.

Here, we can only buy liquor and beer from liquor stores. None in grocery stores or convenience stores or anything like that.

Ugh - I just did a final budget/sheet for how much our wedding was.  I thought we were way under budget.  I was wrong.    Weddings are expensive!!!
