It didn't make it to 50 here today. I have a heater on in the living room almosst nonstop because of the cathedral ceiling and that if I don't it freezes if its below 50 outside.

It was around 70 outside today, so we opened the windows and stuff. It just keeps getting hotter. It was nice when there was a breeze, but now it seems to have changed directions and we're not getting the draft anymore.

I'd love to sleep with our windows open tonight but I'm afraid of being raped in my sleep in this neighborhood.

Tory is giving me some serious sad puppy eyes right now. I know it is because she misses J and doesn't like when he leaves. I have a feeling she will be cuddled awfully close to me tonight.

*Snort*  Our bedroom is on the third floor of our townhouse and I don't like to sleep with the windows open!  Well, part of that is the fear of the cats scratching their way out, but still.

That is a terrible fear Birdie! I have similar worries in my apt sometimes but I'm up high enough that with the screens on my windows I'm not too worried.

yeah, i put it on her - it's suppsed to help with anxiety during the storm.  she's ok for now - but it's mostly lightening now.  if it gets loud, we'll see if it works.  beefy is already hiding in the bathroom.

I feel that my inability to post during the day limits my ability to actually converse with people on TK. It sucks. I'm only around on weekends really. Nobody knows who I am haha

Yeah when we moved in, there were bars on the bathroom windows.... and ONLY the bathroom window. The previous owner had a break in through that windows, so I guess she figured she was taking care of the problem? I don't know.

We're overdue for a high speed chase by the house. It's been awhile. The cop copters were overhead last week though.

What did I miss?  Are people still talking about country music?  I don't listen to it, but H loves it.

I just made oxtails and buttered rice and collard greens.  I'm trying to learn how to do comfort foods.  It's all too rich, even cutting back at Paula Deen's butter recommendation.

Our pup, Raider, hides from storms as well. His favorite spot is either behind the couch or under the kitchen table.
