I know it's FFF, but I just want to say- I did apologize to Ricks.  I don't think it's ok to comment on someone's weight/fitness level/whatever, especially if you do have particular sensitivities about weight, BUT I did overreact.  My feelings were hurt, but I had no right to act like a 6th grader. 

Clearly, it's a sensitive spot (and the reason I rarely post pics of myself here).

Even before the ritalin commnet, Expat bothered me with her constant LJ posts and AWing her money.

Then I was going to give her the benefit of the doubt and try to get on the train again.

Then she posted last night about her Apple Tv, which in no way had anything to do with the point she was making and I disliked her all over again.

I thought the great return of the regs earlier this week was completely pathetic.  I was around then, and I really liked a lot of those regs, but it was just so sad to see them all come back and be all "Oh, I hate it here, but look at me, I'M BACK!!!! Oh and by the way, you're all pathetic for not being snarky and still being here"  If you really didn't care about this place, why bother returning at all?

Yeah, the whole "you call that snark?" crap was ridiculous.  I was here when they were regs and have been here since and the amount of "snark" on this board is the same.  Heck with the addition of Amoro and P2, it's probably more "snarky".  I kind of hate that word.

betrothed-i agree.  I kinda wish LFS had stuck around a bit longer just so people could knock her off her high horse.   Her photography isnt oooohhh so much better than 95% of other photographers out there.  and her im so much more wordly and cooler than you attitude is ridiculous.

Ido wish terri stayed around.  she is funny.  but this p&e has a way different vibe than the days they posted more and not so sure the funny would be appreciated.

I do want to add though, I do feel bad that Terri took my repost personally.  I wasn't calling HER lame, I just thought the whole thing was lame and funny.  I felt bad that it may have hurt her feelings, even though I don't think it SHOULD have hurt her feelings.

It seems there is an undertone of negativity towards non budget brides or newlyweds.   Its like if you talk about your DIY or low budget plans, you are great but mention something that implies you have money and the response isnt so warm.

It used to be worse on here. I do agree with Buddha's response. I also might add that I find that I find this sense most overwhelming when you present an opinion like, "You get what you pay for," and then list reasons you think it is important to spend money on something. This doesn't make you a meanie to brides who didn't choose to spend it, it just brings to light your priorities and your tastes.
