Yep. It's early, but Morning!

Re: Yep. It's early, but Morning!

• I haven't been able to learn guitar either! I have owned a guitar for over a decade and never learned to play... I actually got so guilty the other year that I told myself if I hadn't learned to play by the end of the year I'd get rid of the guitar...

Then I asked for a guitar for my birthday because I honestly want to learn. Haha.

I have decided the guitar is not coming to India... because I asked and apparently you can get a guitar for $40 there AND Ryan knows friends who would be willing to give me lessons.  I've never had lessons before, I've only tried to teach myself, so I'm telling myself this time I WILL learn...

We'll see. :-P

• Morning!

I agree with hoping that Missy gets some help. Sometimes it's more than just having a crappy day.

I used to be on Lexapro and am hoping to get back on some happy pills when I go to the doc on Tuesday. My anxiety has been high lately and after the events of the past two weeks, it's through the roof. When I was stopped at a light this morning, I looked down and found I was just shaking for no reason. I really wish Tuesday was like... today.
• *HUGS* Birdie.  That's no good at all.  Can you call your doctor and ask him/her to call you if a slot opens up?

I've been on Amitryptaline for the last eight months and it was a godsend.  It's the only pill that calmed my anxiety enough so I didn't have insomnia.  The last two months were a little rough, but I'm pretty much back on a regular sleep schedule.

• Aww, Birdie- you couldn't get an appointment till Tuesday?  That is totally not cool.  I hope the rest of this week and the weekend fly by for you.

When I called yesterday, Tuesday at my time slot was the only time they had open in the next week and a half for a new patient. :(

*ETA: And apparently they use two slots for new patients, so to get in early, two people right in a row would have to cancel.
• I called Doc #1 on Monday, the lady said she had to ask me a couple questions and take it back to the doc to sign off on admitting me as a new patient and then she'd call me back. She never did. (Strike 1) I called yesterday and waited for over 7 minutes listening to religious Christmas music (Strike 2) trying to get ahold of someone at the desk and finally hung up.

Doc #2 said they were admitting new patients, just not ones who are coming for anxiety or depression.

So I found Doc #3 who I'm going to on Tuesday.

</div><div>Maybe I should ask my doc about this. My main symptom is insomnia as well. I'm fine if I take my Lexapro and Lunesta, but I can't sleep well without the Lunesta. Fewer drugs sounds preferable to me.

• Morning! I can't believe it's only Thursday. This week is taking forever. I'm just ready to sleep. I'm heading into work early today to try to get all of my planning done for next week because H and I are heading out of town to visit my bff and then my old college town this weekend.
• Aww Birdie I hope everything works out and that doctor #3 is helpful, I'm sorry you had to go through so many just to find one. *hugs*

• Wow Birdie.  That's a lot of hassle simply to get into see a new doctor.  I hope after all that, you like whoever you see and (s)he fixes you up.  I've never dealt with anxiety issues before, but I can't think that the stress of waiting for an appointment would be helpful.

• My SIL thinks I need to ask the doc to refer me to a therapist, which I probably should. I'm just afraid of how much seeing a therapist will cost and dealing with insurance for it.
• I wasn't aware that physicians can block people based on diagnosis, Birdie.  Of course, if that doctor has that policy, you don't want to see him/her anyway.  :\
• Mica, he was part of a practice and I could have seen someone else in the practice I believe. I was just referred to him specifically by LVB, so if I wasn't going to be able to see him I decided to try to find one near my office.
• Birdie that sucks.  I'm sorry you had such trouble finding someone to see you.  This is one of my big worries when I marry FI- finding all new doctors.

• Oy vey cfas, that's just weird.
• I could have gone to my old doctor as a last resort but she's kind of..... cold. Not the most comforting when I'm divulging my emotional problems.
• I have confirmation that I should be ok to knot.  Woo!
Oh dear.  I'm sorry.  Since I'm pretty new and don't know anything, is this ongoing?  Are you okay?
Posted by RyansBelovedBride
Thanks, no it's new for me. I have had lost my breath easy and I just thought it was because i'm overweight, but my lungs were severly constricted. He said that i've got severe Asthma and need to be careful as my year round allergies are what is aggravating it.

• I'm ok with that dress. It's the wife of the creator of Angry Birds. I could have been a LOT worse.

• Yay, Adamar!

Birdie, I'd check with your insurance company about mental health coverage.  For a lot of plans, there's a higher copay and a limited number of sessions covered.  However, you might be able to get significant help from a limited number of sessions, so it might be worth it anyway.
Adamar- if you're still around, I'm down with tie-dye.  Probably more for a girl then a boy, but I'm always open to it!    I just went back and read the rest of the night thread.  I ended up falling asleep with the laptop open.

Sweet.

I'll have to look for it, Sesh.  Of course that means I'll have to get the others in paperback.  Oh darn more books :)

Bay, I know you guys would have been very sad without me.

• Grover, yeah I've made a sweater.  I'm mostly a sock person though. Emphasis on the "a" because I only make one ever because I get to bored. ;)

Making sweaters is time consuming and expensive.

That makes a little more sense then, that's what I get for just looking and not reading.

I'm with LVB on the dress.  For her, it made sense, and actually didn't look too bad on her.

Birdie, something else to check out with your benefits at work is an employee assistance program.  If you have one, you'd get a limited number of free appointments with someone.  I think my company's policy covers 3 a year for each covered person on you policy.

Meg, even socks scare me :)  I have a college friend who makes beautiful socks and can whip them out in less than a weekend.  It's both impressive and completely daunting at the same time.

ETA: In my first line, I meant "her" as in the lady wearing the dress, not LVB :)

• grover, I think my company offers something like that, but I wasn't sure if I had to be on their health insurance. I just switched to H's so I'm still trying to feel stuff out.
• I don't know where my post went. Weird. Well yay anyway, Adamar, for inside sources :)
