Good Evening

Re: Good Evening

  • Sesh, yeah, that's where my mind is at. Training to be a pilot is a huge investment, money and time-wise. That's why I'm all bent out of shape about my age. I feel like I've wasted so much time. And it's going to take me several years, at leasy, before I'd get back to the income I currently make. It's scary. Especially since H makes less than I do.
  • If you already regret it, then I think you have your answer.

  • Loopy - I'd retire at 65. The thing about being a pilot is that I CAN travel the world, which is what I really want to do.

Angel - the thing is that there's really no way to predict what the job market will be like. I can be hopeful about the predicted pilot shortage, but it's a volatile industry.
  • You guys are really helping me get this all straight in my head. I really needed to talk this out and get some perspective. Thanks.
  • Does your h have room for advancement in his career? If he continues to advance while you're still in school that might help to ease the pressure a little.

  • H has a full time job that probably isn't going anywhere. He also tutors part time and is excellent at it. He's been trying to get some more of his own business outside of the tutoring company. Long term I think he wants to start his own tutoring company, but I don't really know how long that would take.
  • A picture of me yesterday with my friend's kid.  I starred him for privacy reasons, but he was adorable.
My half baked bump.. and holy boob-a-licious.

  • Aww, cute baby bump Loopy!

  • So freakin' adorable, Loop!

  • Loopy, I love your little bump! You're so cute :)

  • Thanks.  I'm finally starting to feel like I look pregnant and not just fat, but it still depends on what I wear.

Daff - "bummer his "real" job doesn't seem to be going anywehre, but hopefully he can put something together with the tutoring if that's what he wants.

Loopy, my sister's only 9 weeks and is fuller up top.  Her H posted a pic of her from their vacation last week (before I knew she was pregnant) and I thought to myself "hmmm, she's looking a little bigger up top, I wonder if she's pregnant."

    ETA: Your bump looks adorable.
  • Yay, gymnastics! I've missed so much of the gymnastics this Olympics, I wish I'd paid a little more attention.

Booby Loopy! You look cute : Daff, I think the bottom line is just that you guys have to be on the same page good it to work. Cheesy as it sounds, if you're working as a team then I think you'll be able to accomplish what you want to accomplish. Eta: that's supposed to be a smiley. Stupid mobile site.

  • Stlrz - yeah - we had friends who got married last September and wow she filled that dress out, and a friend of mine and I were commenting and wondering.  But they said it was her anxiety meds causing weight gain.  A few weeks later they found out she was pregnant (like 12 weeks... and she's a nurse.. with 2 kids already.. how do you get to 12 weeks and not realize when you work in health care and already have kids???) - separate subject.
  • Yeah that is crazy.

My radar has been up for a few months now based on a few things my sister said when I went down to visit in March.  I love being an aunt so I'm ridiculously excited.  I'm just ready to be excited about it on FB, but have to wait until they go public first.
  • At least you're smart enough to realize you need to wait until they go public first LOL.  A few people on my BMB complained about family members spilling on FB before they were ready to spill themselves.

<div>I would consider not getting pregnant based on this alone. I'm already a DD. I can only imagine that once pregnant I'd be at a loss as to where to buy new bras. </div>
  • My sister had some problems before my nephew was born so they wanted to wait until after they were out of the first trimester before they went public.  It's also their news to tell, not mione or anyone else's.

My other sister, on the other hand, has a problem with that.  She announced when my sister went into labor and threw a huge fit when she was asked to take it down.  We'll see as time passes whether or not she can keep her mouth shut this time around.

Maternity stores.  My sister had to go to one to find bras that fit her when she was pregnant the first time around.
  • Loopy did you watch BB tonight? I already knew who won hoh but I love watching how the endurance comp plays out.

Haha I'm afraid of this too. I'm a D now, I don't even know what I'll be when pregnant. My mom said hers didn't get that much bigger with any of her pregnancies though, so maybe I'll be the same.

</div><div>I'm a C...I have no memory of what my cup size was when my milk came in. I was, however HUGE.  So I went braless.  I just couldn't face stuffing my huge boobs in a constricting bra. </div><div>
</div><div>That was for my first, and I didn't BF. After a couple of weeks it wasn't so bad.  For my youngest, I pumped because she was a premie and was too tiny to actually BF (she was 2 lbs at birth).  I still went braless till maternity leave ended.  I just remember thinking that everyone was looking at my tits.  </div>
  • My mom went up a cup size after her first pregnancy and apparently never went back down. Her hair color also changed though so maybe she's just an oddball.
  • MuSu - I did.  I'm all caught up.  I'd been reading a BB blog this afternoon so I knew who was HOH too, but I too like to see how the comp plays out.  I don't understand why they're not ganging up on the vets to get them out... I guess giving  them 4 weeks to form attachments as "coaches" will probably be the downfall of the newbs.
  • I am gonna be so pissed if my feet grow when I am pregnant. My moms grew a half size. If they grow any more, I will have to order all of my shoes online.

  • Loops I am never surprised that a girl or smaller guy usually wins the endurance comp. The producers set it up so that bigger guys or tall people can't stay up long because of their stature. That comp was perfect for short and tiny people. I would've sucked at it.
