Has anyone else seen previews for War Horse? I get all weepy and emotional just watching them. I can't wait to see it.

I've seen the previews.. I don't think I can watch the movie... Horses getting hurt is something I can't handle.

That makes sense, barrel. I just love horses and I feel like they aren't in movies enough anymore.

Well I certainly do NOT enjoy seeing animals get hurt. I just want to see majestic horses in a movie.

I agree musu.. It's cool that they made a movie. I just picture my own horses and it makes me sad. I'm a sap.

I was bitten by a horse when I was a kid, it was totally my fault and I know that, but I just can't get comfortable around them.

I've never ridden a horse. But I've petted them and I think that they are gorgeous animals.

I rode a horse once I think I was 9. It was after I was bitten and I was at my friends house and everyone went out to feed and ride them. I tried to stay in but was picked on so much for being scared that I got on the horse rode it and had a panic attack after about 30 seconds. My grandma had to come get me early from the party because I couldn't calm myself down and my friends were still making fun of me.

I love horses.  I've only ridden a couple times, but I want to do it more.  When I grow up I really want to own a horse.

That is really sad that they teased you so much, C. Especially at that age, it is totally normal to have fears of animals that have given you a negative prior experience.

It's such a natural thing for me, but I grew up around them.  I've shown horses my entire life.

I think horses are awesome, but I don't want one. 

If I even THINK that an animal is going to get hurt in a movie I turn it off. I cannot stand it.

I loved them when I was really little and I'm okay looking at their picture but I just can't do them up close. Maybe at some point I can get over my fear but I really think that is going to take a while.

I know what you mean.  I know a lot of people that are terriffied of them.  And really, it's probably the smart thing to be.  Horses are great animals, but they are dangerous.  You never know when something's going to happen, but it's just like any other sport, you have to love it enough to outweigh the risks.
