Re: Hey all - it's night now.

  • Thanks Poke! Pinned them :)

Whit, I hate that! Stupid pants. Also, that recipe looks delish!

  • I pinned a recipe for moscato cupcakes a while ago but haven't made them.  I have made very little from pinterest.

Anyone else watching The Bachelorette tonight?  I'm sooo excited!!

  • Whitsy - was it Old Navy?  I always have that problem there.  SO inconsistent on sizing, and no reason for it at all.
  • OMG Whitsy - that chicken looks freaking amazing. I also hate pants. In Feb when H was visiting we went around and looked for some new jeans for me since I was down to my last pair. I tend to buy cheap, low quality clothes so they fall apart with frequent use. Anyways, we looked all over the place and couldn't find anything I liked. We finally found something that fit well and was flattering, so we bought three pairs. Now it looks like I wear the same jeans every single day since, you know, they're all identical.
  • I don't have that many recipes pinned, but I haven't made a single one of the ones I do have. I don't really cook right now. Maybe when I have my own kitchen, I'll cook a little bit more. Or at all.

  • I've actually tried quite a bit of things I've pinned, and the ones I liked I moved to another board. I haven't made much lately, since I hate heating up the house.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Hey all - it's night now. : Do it! Dont you just hate it when you have all these plans that you want to do then other things just get in the way. This weekend has gone by too fast, but I am fine with that because i am ready for next weekend. Cant wait to go dress shopping!

<div>Yeah, it's more of a lazy thing. I can't make myself make the trip to the grocery store to get what I need. Then when I am at the grocery store I forget to get the stuff for the cupcakes. Woe is me. </div>

[QUOTE]EFF PANTS MAN. I've worn nothing but my elastic waist comfy black pants all summer and dresses and I had to buy three new pairs today. I bought them all at the same place: a pair of khakis, a pair of dress capris, and a brown pair. Brown pair fits beautifully. Khakis a smidge snug but manageable (still annoying though). Capris? CAN'T EVEN BUTTON THE DAMN THINGS. Sigh.

<div>So freakin' aggravating. I've even gotten shorts for H before in the same brand and style and each pair fits differently. For dumb. It's called quality control, people. </div>

  • Frequently stores at a lower price point have more inconsistent sizing because they have a higher margin of error allowed in the stitching.  I sometimes bring in more than one item of the same size to try on because of that.
  • heb, I am thinking sweet potatoes to help the calories/carbs but yes!

raes, it makes me so stabby. It's like, oh hey fattie, let's make you feel worse by not only going up two sizes but making one of them unbuttonable. gracias.

  • Evening! We are watching Sapranos, and cooking corn in the oven, fried plantains, and I will have a baked vegan chick'n patty. I tried adapting a pilsbury brownie box, but it is only mediocre compared to homemade. I seem to never have luck with adapting box baked goods, my last soda cake was very moist. Still ate it though!

<div>Yep.  I think its because I grew up right next to an outlet mall, but I always grab at least 2-3 pairs of pants in the same size to try on.</div>

  • And lady sizing is stupid. I wear a xtra small to medium top, a size 4 to 8 dress, and anywhere from a 7 to 13 in pants. It should all be standardized measurements. In inches or centimeters. WTF fashion, get with it.

  • Loopy---it's time for BB!
  • Beachy - I'm going to watch Bachelorette.  But it doesn't start for another hour here.

I tried maybe a handful of receipes from Pinterest.  I've pinned a great many more than that.
  • Evening ladies.  I started Couch to 5K today.  It wasn't as hard as I expected it to be, but I know it will get harder as time moves on.

WFD?  I made a taco ring.
  • Not Old Navy, but MUN1, you're probably on the right track, this is an outlet store called Burkes? It's a new place here. Hit or miss about cute clothes but I bought all the pants thinking I'd be happy if 1/3 fit.

poke, I hope the chicken is good! I'm making it up right now. We're eating late today.

I don't really watch the bachelorette. My guilty pleasure is teen mom Embarassed

  • Poke, have you tried the Daily's Pina Colada? I'm drinking it now and I can't decide what I think. I'm not a coconut fan but I usually like pina coladas (go figure).

It's a Pampered Che recipe.  Taco meat baked in crescent rolls.
  • WHAA?! Who would pass up BB?!

    Just kidding. :)
  • A taco ring sounds amazing. Oooh, now I want taco salad. Maybe I'll make that for when my friend comes down Thursday.
  • Evening.  We had a homemade pizza for dinner with pineapple and ham.  Salad on the side.

I'm not.  I don't really have a huge desire to join, either.

Ahhh, cool on the taco ring. Sounds yummy!

And yes, raes, yes you ARE the ONLY person in the world not on Pinterest.

ETA Apparently Stlrz is not either. So there are two of you.

Actually you are wise to stay away because it is terribly addictive. I speak from experience.

</div><div>Yeah, any time my sister gets a hawaiian pizza I yell that at her. It amuses me. But in all seriousness, pineapple on pizza grosses me out.</div>

<div>It was a rough choice, but watching 3 hours of Bachelorette tonight and 1 hour of BB online tomorrow won out over 1 hour of BB tonight and then avoiding Bachelorette for 2 more house so I can watch it all tomorrow.</div>
