So here is a question for you if you don't mind. I have been a teacher and am now a guidance counselor. Do you think it is really necessary to put descriptions under those titles on my resume?
Posted by PetalPockets2012
<div>I'd probably put a short description because even though it might seem obvious to you, those roles could differ depending on where you are. Especially guidance counselor. </div>

Erin SIL has one dog, and our neighbors at the old house took Lobo (the big one). He seems to be doing well down there. I just wish our house would sell. We'd be in a much better place if it did. We're goint to have to bite the bullet though soon and put it up for rent if it doesn't sell in the next few months. Our realtor had an open house last weekend. The weather turned to shiit about an hour after it started and only 1 person came to look at the house. There was an offer put in, but it was $25k less than the listed price. When we countered list price and we pay closing, they countered by bring their offer up $4k. No way am I going to sell my house for $21k less than what I'm asking. I cannot do that if I wanted to. I don't have $21k to bring to the table at close. Are you nuts? Makes me wonder why their realtor even showed them the house in the first place.

Erin, I've heard of those books but never read them.

<div>Some guidance counselors do different things, so I'd put a description there. I'd also give some details about the teaching: subject, class size, etc.</div>
• I know before this season Mariska said she would have less of a role because she adopted a baby and wanted to spend more time at home.  Not sure for the other two though.  I like the new characters though too.  The girl was on that show Chase which I really liked.

Petal I just have minor descriptions on my resume, like anything special or significant.  For summer school jobs I have my passing rate since it's readily available.  For regular teaching jobs I put anyextra duties or anything I had.

• They definitely sound like books I would enjoy, Erin. Maybe this summer if I have time I can start them. :)

Also, Petal, giving a description gives you a chance to highlight what skills those positions strengthened for you, and why that job makes you a better candidate.

</div><div>A is for Alibi, B is Burglar, C is for Corpse, D is for Deadbeat..... by Sue Grafton. I own all of them. She's not finished yet, though. It's a book series about a kickass PI named Kinsey. She is my all time favorite book character.</div><div>
</div><div>Eta: They are really quick, fun reads. You could probably get the first ten for 0.25 cents each at a used book store.

• My mom has all the books. That's where I read one or two. I liked them. Perhaps I'll do a book swap with her.

I've been reading the Tess Monaghan series by Laura Lippman. I love it. Other than the devotion to exercise, I see a lot of myself in Tess. Plus, she has doggies.

I like Stephanie Plum/ Janet Evonavich too.
• MK that is discouraging.  My house in NEPA is currently for sale too.  All of the offers have been at least $25K less than my asking price.

I just spent the last hour watching them clean up a motor cycle accident two doors down from my house.  I was sitting on the porch and saw the kid go by at going at least 80 mph, and thought to myself, wow that is an accident waiting to happen.  About 10 minutes later he went back by going just as fast and clipped my neighbor who was pulling out of her house.  The kids buddy was chasing him in another car directly behind the motorcycle.  Everyone is fine, although the kid was ultra worried about his bike, and kept insisting that he was only going 40 mph (the posted speed).  Social media and texting at work, there were at least 15 kids there within 5 minutes, all louder than the next taunting the driver of the car like it was her fault.  Then the police and the fire truck arrived.  And the first words out of the fireman's mouth to the kid on the motorcyle was, oh, its you, I knew we were going to get called to scrape you off the road at some point.  The the parents of the kid showed up,  totally scary that they believed that their little snowflake on his super new motorcycle would go over the speed limit or be seen going down the street pulling wheelies.  Ugh!, just Ugh!
• Yeah I thought I remembered hearing that he got removed earlier this year.

My firefox was doing that all day yesterday, Eagles. I was worried it was my computer. I am on Google Chrome now and it is working fine, but I hate chrome so I'm hoping the firefox thing is temporary.

Erin if you like those you should read J.D. Robb's (AKA: Danielle Steele) "In Death" series. It's a bout a female detective in the late 2000's. She's pretty badas. I haven't read the last few books, but we own all of them. I think I missed the last three.
I never read those, and always thought they looked interesting.  I like mystery.  I used to be into Patricia Cornwell, but I couldn't take Scarpetta anymore.  I ruined Karin Slaughter for Special.  :(
