I judge the person in charge of our room block for not returning my calls and e-mails. She e-mailed me to let me know the hotel was changing from a Doubletree to a Marriott and that our guests' reservation website wouldn't work and that they'd make a new one by the end of the week. This was on June 1st. I've now left her three voicemails and sent four e-mails. Yesterday, I spoke with a manager who assured me that the woman would call me that day. She didn't, and I'm pissed.
  • I hate--HATE--when people don't return calls in a business situation. it makes me livid. it's so unprofessional.
  • I still judge MIL for getting super-excited about raiding DH's dead aunt's closet the day of the funeral.  She asked me what my shoe size was three times and was thrilled to have a new wardrobe.  Be a little sensitive to your brother, why dontcha?

I'm just so annoyed because they've been great so far. I actually cancelled the other room block we were planning on reserving at a different hotel because they took so long to get back to me. Our first choice hotel never returned my e-mails or phone calls at all. It takes a lot to rile me up, but this really is.

I'm going to wait until Friday, and then I'm going to file a formal complaint. There's no excuse for this. I even checked to see if she was out of town, and she hasn't been at all.
  • I judge people who bring a child with them to a job interview. Like the four-year-old who is currently running circles around my office; whose mother is completely ignoring him no matter how many side-eye looks I give her.
  • I judge people who are obsessed with Twilight.
  • I judge people who use "beg the question" improperly and don't know how to spell "per se."
    Married 10/2/10
  • I judge people who are all "puppies and rainbows."  No one is that happy all the time, and you seem a little bit dumber when all you have to say is something along the lines of "that is awesome!"

  • Poli, we had a nightmare of a time with our block at a Doubletree.

Also, I kind of judge the fat acceptance movement in some ways.  I am totally cool with a group of women being happy with how they look and promoting it, but the "bigger is better" crap really bugs me.  If you turn the tables and make it "thinner is better," you would be murdered.  Why not just say, "we're all awesome no matter how big or small we are"?

Don't even get me started on that. I could go on for days. Do you know that since you, Brie, decided to lose weight for your own reasons, according to the FA movement, you hate yourself, you hate your body, and on top of that, you hate the bodies of ALL overweight people?

    I just... it's ridiculous.

I don't like heart shaped rings either. But the goat chick had a cute story and said they were going to pick out a "traditional" e-ring.

Yeah this. I got asked if I was pregnant a couple of weeks ago. Not because I was sick, just chubby. Hell I guess chubby isn't even the word for it if someone's asking if I'm pregnant. The chick that did it has ALWAYS had some ridiculous comment about my weight. Even though it made me just as uncomfortable to hear how much she hated me because I was skinny, I think I'd prefer that to "Jesus, what are you? Knocked up?"

we also say "fanger" instead of "finger."

and yeah yeah, the goat ring had a cute story, but do you want to have to tell that story every time you show someone your ring?
AND DO YOU REALLY WANT A GOAT-RING?
no. no one does. he was being cheap. yeah, I said it.
