Ugh who knows. I guess I'm going to at least try to get to chin legnth and then re-evaluate.

BTW, I love that Michelle Williams style. I've taken that to the salon before.

[QUOTE]Hi everyone! As far as the spanking vs non spanking issue goes, I'm of the belief that if you parent correctly while your child is young, you shouldn't need to spank. If you teach from the beginning that when you say no, that you mean no, your kids tend to not intentionally cross you as much. Whether you do that by spanking (not beating), or by time out, or whatever you choose isn't neccessarily the issue, its that you have to start EARLY, don't wait until your kid is already a brat, and then start trying to beat them.

Guys, I have this volunteer job that I work two 4 hour shifts per month. NBD, right? Well, there is this one girl that works two weekends a month. AND SHE GETS PAID. And EVERY MONTH she's asking someone to take one of her weekends. EVERY SINGLE FUUUCKING MONTH. And it makes me crazy, because we give our availability for each month. If shiiit comes up after that? You have a commitment. A COMMITMENT TO YOUR JOB. I get that shiiit happens sometimes (people die, kids get sick, you get sick, whatever), BUT EVERY MONTH? FOR A WHOLE WEEKEND? No. I do not feel bad for not enabling your piss poor planning and lack of commitment, and you will not make me feel bad by singling me out and asking me to work for you since I "only work two shifts a month." That's because I'm not getting paid, dickwad. I already have a (more than) full time job. I'm good.

Dancing in socks is dangerous. People did it all the time when I was in college and god the falls I would see scared me. There is no traction on them, it is not a good way to dance. Yeah it makes it easier to turn but I don't think it's worth the risk.

I loved Emma Watson's short hair too. It always looked TERRIBLE in back though, so do something different in back if you go with that. I got irrationally angry when people talked shiiit about her hair cut.

Confession: I'm watching Dallas. I'm so old I actually watch "Who shot J.R.?" I'm trying to figure out why I'm watching it. I know it's not going to be good.

I think that different things work for different children. Some children do not respond to anything else other than spanking. Some kids sit and time out and laugh at you, and go back to trying to put their finger in an outlet, but if you swat them on the hand, they get it. I don't think parents should spank for just any old thing though, I think that when the potential natural consequence outweighs what damage I "might" do by swatting them, then a swat is neccessary. I'd rather spank my child for continually running out in the middle of the street, than have them be hit by a car.

I feel like if your kid is continually running into traffic, you should probably supervise him or her a little bit better, no?

I mean, I know that stuff still happens, and you can watch them every second, but that should make it a once in a blue moon thing, not an over and over thing. If it's an over and over thing, you need to take a look at what you, the parent, are doing wrong.

I remember Dallas. I remember when Bobby's death was just a dream. I have no idea why my parents let me watch that show. I was about 7.

I hear they are making a new Dallas, but both JR and Bobby are back (although the new show focuses on their sons).

I was babysitting some kids and watched while they were sleeping. Now that I think of it I only watched Dallas when I was babysitting. I don't think my parent's watched and we only had one TV with my mom had 100% control over.
