What's everyone up to today?

I'm having coffee and making out a list of things to do today...well, things to clean. I'm going to finish the deep cleaning that I started last week.  I'm also defrosting a roast for dinner tomorrow and that's pretty much it for me today.

I'm also going to preview 30DS, I start that on Monday.

Tomorrow it's planting seeds for the second summer crop, and maybe taking the motorcycle out for a ride with FI. It's just so hot!

I just finished cleaning the house before we leave tomorrow(!!!). Lucy is very suspicious. She kept following me around wondering why I was doing this stuff. We aren't going to pack until after we've taken her over to the people who are watching her. Poor girl.

Morning!

I got excellent news yesterday..my mom's biopsy came back benign!  Her and my dad were so relieved they decided to plan a vacation next week hahah...can't wait to see where they decide to go!


I am going to a bach party tonight.  It should be fun.

Good morning. I'm starting to think I'll never be able to sleep in again. 

No plans for today. I guess H and I will figure it out when he gets home for work.

Snippy, yep I sure did!  I love my new colors and look.  I feel so much less frumpy!

My dog always pouts when FI gets ready to leave for work.  It's pitiful.  Then he'll sit by the door and whine for a few minutes.

Last time H was packing for his trip to Thailand, Lucy actually got IN to his suitcase and refused to move. ha.

Sephora, Snippy.   I think I'm in love with Sephora...they gave me all kinds of samples and I even bought a couple of eye shadows from the Sephora line to try.

Autumn becomes velcro-dog when we pack for trips.  Thinks if she follows us around long enough we won't forget her.  

Snips - I have a picture of Autumn in our suitcase once.  It was right after we'd gotten home.  Like you will NOT be forgetting me again.

Dogs are amazing!  I can't imagine life without our Elmer. We miss him when we take trips that we can't take him on.

He's so cute...if FI and I are kissing or hugging, he will poke his face in between my and FI's thighs to try to seperate us.

my cat freaks when he sees me packing. He has moved a couple times...always wants to make sure I don't forget him.

Hockey-Yay! Such good news! 

Copper pouts when we get ready to leave for work. When H packs for a trip, C usually doesn't realize that he's leave until I come back from the airport without him. Then, he's all like "what's going on?! I bet he's hiding." And goes to search the house.

ETA:Today ILs are coming to eat for my birthday since they were out of town last week.I can't decide what I want to eat. I'm thinking Texas Roadhouse though. Other than that I'm doing a whole bunch of nothing.

Snippy, I get to see you in a week and a half!

I have an insomnia problem.  I thought it was just due to the Olympics and stress, but I can't sleep anymore.  And when I do sleep, I wake up with migraines over my left eye.  I hate this.  My anxiety medication used to handle the insomnia, now it does nothing.  Blargh.

My parents leave for FL today, so I'm driving little sis around and visiting her at my parents' house for the day.  Should be good times.

Hey ladies!  I just finished updating my blog and am half-watching Contagion on TV.  At 1:00 I'm going to a baby shower and then after that H and I are heading to Cincinnati for two Reds games in two days.....yikes.  Best wife ever, right here.  On the way back home tomorrow we're meeting his family for dinner.

My cat also loves suitcases.  As a matter of fact, H's suitcase has been lying open on the floor of our office since we got back from Vegas a couple weeks ago.  It's become my cat's favorite sleeping spot.  On the days I work from home, she snuggles in there and sleeps all day long.  She's gonna be really pissed when H leaves next Sunday and takes her bed away from her.

Hockey -- that's great news!

Berkeley is acting up, she saw me packing last night.  

The boy kitten jumped the baby gate to play with Berkeley this morning.  It was very cute.  Berkeley was so anxious, like she was worried that she could hurt him because he kept throwing himself on his back right in front of her.  But then he got spooked and ran, and Berkeley's chase instinct kicked in.  The poor kit doesn't know the house very well, so he cornered himself.  

The only casualty from boy kit's exploration was a big scratch on my leg.  Both the dog and kit are unharmed, although this might keep the kittens confined to the breakfast room for a few days into our trip.

Morning all, moving quite slow this morning.  I might have drank a little too much last evening.  Yowzers!

Hocky your family must be so relieved!  Such grand news!

Helmut is the same way,  I try to never show him the suitcases, causes it gives him the sads.
On the same note, when he sees that have put his food and dishes in the car, he goes happy bonkers cause he knows he is going.  He loves to go! Especially to the river.

I'm setting up a private/secret FB group for the wedding. Almost everyone on the guest list is on FB anyway, so I figure this will be better than a website. 

I need to get off my arse and clean!

Good Morning! After about 3, maybe 4 weeks, it's finally raining and storming here. I'm still lying is bed just listening to it. It's wonderful! The poor ground needed it. I'm going shopping later today to help FI pick up his suit for the wedding. Nothing else too much going on this morning/afternoon.

Good morning all! I'm relaxing with the pups for a few hours before going to a town fair. I'm hoping it stays this lovely temp but just clears up a bit. Hah I just saw NBC report with surprise that MN was one of the states boasting the most Olympic pride on twitter. Haha what a weird statistic.

H is cleaning the bathrom while I...sit on the sofa.  I need to get my ass in gear or else I'll have a bitter husband.

My dog always got to go on the trips too, so she'd LOSE HER MIND with joy when she saw suitcases.  We could never use the word "go" in front of her if the suitcases were out.  She'd find her leash, pull it off the hook and parade around the house carrying it.

Bay, do you have a set bedtime routine?  H was having issues with anxiety related insomnia.  He started washing up, then doing about 10 minutes of relaxation yoga, then reading for about five minutes in bed (from a book, not his phone or tablet).  The routine and the relaxing activities help him a lot.

Hockey, HUGE YAY! So glad for you, your mom and your family! I hope they go on a fabulous trip! 

Glinda Kitty hops in our suitcase. Our other cat could care less. She's like,'Um, yeah. Just leave out enough food and get the hell outta here.'

It is insanely windy here today, even by South Dakota standards. Not sure if another round of stroms is predicted or what. We soooo need rain!

Mica, still no official kitty names? They sound so cute. 

Glinda is all snuggled up next to me, sound asleep. She has a rough life.

Box Kitty also jumps in the suitcases.  When they're closed, she jumps on top and lays on it like "not without me, assholes."

So, our friend wrote a book, and I just started reading it.  I'm surprised by how much I like it (not because I'm surprised that he'd be a good writer, but because it's sort of an odd genre).  I had to take a break because my Kindle was hurting my eyeballs.  Stupid eyeballs.  So here I am!  But I think everyone is gone...

Hey everyone!

Yay Hockey!

It looks Tropical Storm Ernesto is going to be heading into the Gulf and hitting somewhere on the Texas coast sometime next weekend (possibly at a Category 1 or 2 Hurricane).  Since we are about 3 hours away from the coast, the worst we will get is some wind and rain.  A few of our guests are coming from the coast, so I'm just gonna pray for their safe travels.  

There is nothing I can do about the weather, so I'm gonna do my best not to freak about it.  If anything, it will make for interesting stories later on.
