  • Hey! I at the airport, waiting for our flight. This morning was pure chaos. I actually feel nauseated from the rush. H actually had to bring his computer because he still has work left to do. Boo. I had hoped to just travel with the iPad, but we need to edit documents. Sigh.

  • Angel-I want that puppy.  He looks so cuddly.

  • That sucks, Mica.  I hate being rushed and chaotic.  Our HM departure morning was like that, and it put me in a sour mood for the entire day.  Safe travels!

Texas, I'm sorry to hear about the weather.  Talk to Lynda about it--she had a hurricane as an univited wedding guest and lived to tell the tale :)  I hope all your guests stay safe!

  • I want the puppy. But my hands are full with kittens and the dog. Ooh, boarding! See you all later!
  • Does anyone else run down the main page and correct the grammar of the subjects in their head in a really picky way?

"To whom do I send thank you cards?"

  • It's Anna's b-day too! HB Anna!

I actually SLEPT last night. YAY! Been Mrs. Insomniac the past few nights.

Seriously, this wind. It is insane. Nerdy Girl wants to have a backyard bonfire (in an appropriate pit, of course) tonight with friends, but gheez. I told her we have to see what the weather does.

Hi again!  I've been cleaning the house while playing a game with my roomba.  See, he's an evil house cleaning robot today, and if he sees me, he'll come after me and kill me or something.  BUT he can only see in front of him, and only about a foot off the ground.  So if he's facing me and I'm standing on the sofa, I'm safe.  BUT he can see my feet under the sofa if he's on the other side of it, since it's about 6 inches off the ground.

    Clearly, I'm five.

this, way?  Yes. Can I come play with you?

Willy, it's bad here too.  Last night was awful.  It blew one of our (30 pound) patio chairs right off the deck.  Thank you, Target, for selling us excellent chairs that survive a one and a half story fall in 60 mph winds.

My poor, poor tomato plants are not happy campers today.

  • Only if you promise to not bust your head open while trying to clean the dining room table while standing on top of a chair to avoid the killer roomba...like I might or might not have just nearly done.
  • Having a roomba around sounds like it makes housecleaning a lot more fun.  I'd be interested to see how my animals react to it.
    knotsigpicture Anniversary
  • I promise I will try hard not to break my head.

I really want a Roomba, but Box Kitty will either be terrified of it or kill it.  I can't decide which is more likely, but neither is good.

  • It makes housecleaning way more fun.  Because either the floor is getting cleaner while I sit on my assss, OR I get to play really immature games.  He almost spotted me a second ago, and for a millisecond, I was legit scared.  And then I remembered the part where I made up that he was a killer roomba.
  • Hockey-so glad! I hope they have a fabulous vacation.
    Anna, Edie Happy Birthday!
Sassy is very suspicious of suitcases She knows it means we're leaving, so she wonders around the house yowling.  Venue appointment today, no other specific plans.

  • The animals get really suspicious when we pack.  Sam will actually sit on the suitcase and give us the "you're not leaving" look.  We get the kennels out and they go hide.

  • I think we need a Roomba at Chez Wally. Do they work on hardwood? Cats would go apeshiiit, though. I am glad it makes housecleaning much more fun, Muni!

I like to play Ninja/Mission Impossible with our motion sensors once the alarm is on for the night. H thought I was crazy, until he tried it too!

J, glad your chair survived. Are your tomato plants in pots so you can move them inside for some extra TLC?

And yes on the grammar. I used to edit/proof at the newspaper and just cannot help it.

[QUOTE]Hey!  Our a/c is officially broken.  Sadness. We are waiting on the warranty company to call so they can send someone out to fix the damn thing.  Meanwhile, it's inched up to 78 in the house.  I do not like 78 in the house.  Too warm.  Will likely be going to my mom's shortly; they have working a/c.

  • Willy, we have laminate, tile, and rugs and he works best on the laminate!. Ninja/Mission Impossible sounds like a really fun time too!
  • Yes, Willy, we moved all the pots inside the garage for the day.  Poor things.

  • Ick, Holly. And of course on the weekend, it will be hard to get anyone to come fix it. Gah.

Tex, huge bummer on the tropical storm. Sending anti-hurricane vibes your way!

  • There is nothing I hate more than vacuuming.  Except sweeping.

That's it.  I'm trading in my cat for a Roomba.

<div>Hopefully that will give them a chance to recover. Stupid wind. We had this cloud that seriously looked like some kind of Mothership coming over the town. It was freaky. YoungSon got some pics of it but they aren't on my computer. </div><div>

Hello, everyone. My co-worker is trying to kill me with perfume. She came in reeking of it, re-applied at 10:30, and just re-applied again. Seriously? Just because you can't smell it anymore doesn't mean I can't. Look up "olfactory fatigue" and knock it the eff off. It's pretty bad, considering she's about 50 feet away and I can taste it. Gross.

</div><div>When I worked at the paper, we couldn't wear perfume because a couple of CWs had horrid allergies. The intense ink smell throughout the building didn't bother them, but perfume did. Although, after about a week of working there, the ink smell wasn't even noticeable. </div>

  • I don't mind vacuuming.  And I have a Swiffer for most of the dust and stuff.  The only time I really sweep is when I have to get cat litter off the floor because my cats like to kick the litter out of the box.  And I can't put a cover on the boxes because my cats won't fit in the boxes with the covers.  I've tried.

  • J, could you cordon off Minka while the roomba was doing its business?  You can set the roomba to only go in particular rooms too- that way she'd have safe havens.

<div>Most of the places I've worked have had a no-perfume policy.  At the restaurants, it was mainly because it was against health code.  When I worked at the IRS, it was because I had a couple of people on my team that were allergic to perfume.  </div>
