Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays

Re: Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays

• [QUOTE]Tracy, did you change your sig from the Mardi Gras beads, or do I have you confused with someone else? I'm so used to watching for the beads. Haha. FI and I are going to FL next year. I can't wait. He's never been to Epcot and I haven't been to FL since I was 13. I can't wait to see Epcot and Disney World again, not to mention palm trees. I love seeing palm trees against the twilight sky. They're super exotic to me. (Poor little Midwesterner...) Edit: I know Epcot should be EPCOT, but seeing it like that annoyed me for some reason.

[QUOTE]I think her ILs have a problem that is deeper than the DNA issue. That's just my suspicion though. Angel, that is cute. :) J would do that sometimes too, when we were engaged. It is really funny how the wedding is a thing of obsession for the planners, and just an occasional thought for the guys at times.

She does say that they've always hated her.. I wonder if she's given them actual reason to... or whether they're like Mari's FI's crazy grandmother.

That is kind of what I'm getting at... I don't mean that the reason is legitimate, but I just feel like there is more to this story. Like, something that happened either before she came around, or after, or whatever. MOST people don't just start spewing vitriol in groups of 3 for no reason at all, unless the OP is truly a terrible person, which we wouldn't know anyway. Mari's grandmother is probably senile which may give her a (not good) excuse for being crazy, lol.

Thanks! I see you just changed yours, so cute! I love how happy you guys are in that picture. :) Really shows a natural, great moment.

• Thanks :) I guess I'll keep it. I love that picture, but in sig format, it looks weird to me. I was going to change it to one of the leaf-throwing ones I have. We'll see. I have trouble committing.
• Hi ladies.

A guy I use to work with on my first boat job in the islands was on his way through NOLA and found out I was here. We had some dinner caught up on our lives. It was nice. He is now on is way to TX.

DH's flight was delayed and now he will not be here until almost 2am. I hope some ladies will be around for a while so I can stay up.

• Was anyone around for the board war that could give me a semi short version of what happened there? I always see it referenced and I always wonder exactly what went on.

I came around like RIGHT after it happened. But in sum from what I know, mostly gleaned from actual real conversation with Fishy, lol: It used to be just the E board, before TK switched the format. It was called P&E then, I think. Then after the format, SB was created and people started migrating there over time. There was a lot of drama surrounding several regs that didn't ever get along so people started splitting based on who they got along with best. There was also drama related to KPS and when an old poster created a website for KPS callouts, which had a lot of really hurtful shiit about posters. Since then, people have mostly reconciled or GBCKed, or just ignore each other.

• There's no such thing as boardwar!!

Short story - E used to P&E and when they reformatted the boards the old school SB ladies took off for the Carribbean (seriously, I think they moved to TN Caribbean board for a while or something) and half the P&E regs started hanging out on SB and half stayed on E. Some things were said that hurt feelings, and for close to a year there was no such thing as a boarwar... except there was definitely us vs. them.
• Lynda, I will probably be awake for awhile, I don't have anything going on tomorrow, so I don't have any immediate plans for bed :)

Chrissy - I read that and was like oh dear God. Although it would be kind of hilarious if she did get knocked up by FFIL because she'd likely be publicy humiliated. It would suck for her FI though, so I wouldn't wish it on her for that reason.

• Oh yeah, I forgot that SB was there, but it was just the now caribbean knotties or whatever. If you go back to the beginning of SB on here, there are a whole different group of posters that don't post here now.

[QUOTE]Lynda, NOLA is in the eastern timezone? That means 11pm my time. I can hang out until 10 at the lastest. Then I really have to go to bed then.

Of course she did. She's effing ridiculous. You don't have to try to prove how smart you are or fight for your crusade at every living moment.

• I had a second interview today. That is good. I have to have another one with the rooms exec. I'm not sure why, I was interviewing for an entry level job. Although I'm more qualified than that, so maybe they want me for something better. Working on the boat has possed as a negative as no one knows what it means until I get into the interview.

I need to change my job title from boat mate to something else.

• And for you, Lynda. It sucks to wait. Your H was in Korea, is that right?

Coming in right after the boardwar during the us vs. them tension definitely made you feel like you had to pick a board. It was a weird time. The boards seemed so much more active, though (or, at least SB, since E has pretty regular WR traffic).
• MuSu and Loopy - That sounds pretty crazy. I'm kind of glad I wasn't around yet, from what I hear, people were super mean, I probably would have been eaten alive, lol.
imageWedding Countdown Ticker
• Whenever I see Redhead acting like that, I do one of these:

prince disapoint
• When I first started posting, I arbitrarily started on E and then definitely could tell that posting on SB would be weird. But then Steph (who I talked to b/c of our local board) encouraged me and now I switch between both, which a lot of people do.

• Thanks, Wrigley. That literally made me laugh out loud. FI just looked at me like I was nuts.
• Aww, Lynda, I'm sorry his flight is delayed. I'd stay up with you, but I have a (rare) early shift tomorrow.
• wrig, I am glad things are going well for you and your FI. Do you know how soon you will move and start your new job?
• YAY for the second interview Lynda. Sucks that your H isn't getting home until that late though. That's awful.
• I lurked both boards for a long time, I'm not really sure why I decided to start posting on E first. I mainly post here, but every once in awhile, I post over there. They seem like a tougher crowd to break into, for some reason.

And FFS, I was just giving advice from my perspective. Personal much? I get it, you think it is annoying that I have lawyer opinions.

And the FFIL comment was a joke, because that gross moment when you realize that someone actually slept with their father in law it is hard to forget.
