Evening ladies, haven't yet read through the thread.  Came home from work and took a good long nap.  Love a rainy day nap.  Had some leftover chinese when I woke up and took the Golden for a nice long walk in the back fields.  Yep, life is pretty good.

Oh yeah, and my new cell phone came today to replace the one that got ruined in the "cell phone incident".  And my hairpiece for the wedding came today too. 

How is everyone doing?

Poke - I hope your mom does not send your bridesmaid a nasty note, that wouldn't be cool. Also, I saw that link yesterday and I was like wtf.

Ali - I'd be skeptical of any restaurant management position that said you could name your own terms. Being a manager at a restaurant generally means extremely long hours with mediocre pay. I mean, I guess some places might pay well, but the hours have been pretty standard eveywhere I've worked.

Adamar - I only worked the lunch shift towards the end because I couldn't stand nights. I also made zero money though, so then I was cranky just for that reason.

Holy crap, Poke. What a nutcase. I can't even imagine waking up and having no teeth. Then again, I'd probably switch my dentist to someone other than my ex. But still. Yeesh. I hope she gets her license revoked... and her head examined.

Pretty much just anger issues....it sucked because I had worked really hard with the student for like 3 years and bent over backwards to help them out, even when others had written the student off.

Buuuuut I always have amazing students who remind me why I do what I do.

I would be beside myself if this happened. Besides the functional aspect, I'm way too vain to be toothless. I'd probably refuse to leave the house until I could get some sort of false ones. Oh God, the thought of having a glass with my teeth in it next to my bed is horrifying.

Good Evening!

Just got back from the gym and waiting for H to get home and make me dinner.

I'm still catching but all I'm seeing are posts about food and it's killing me! I thought one of our clients was hosting a team appreciation lunch but it's actually next Monday. I was trying to be super good with my breakfast and snacks since I was going to cheat a little. I packed a whole grain english muffin, an apple, 1 tbsp of peanut butter, and about 15 reduced fat cheez-its.  That's it! I was too lazy to go out and get a proper lunch though (and didn't want to lose my parking spot).

Yeah, I have tooth issues too. My most frequent nightmares involve painful tooth problems. I don't even mind going to the dentist or anything. I'm just afraid of losing my teeth.

Angel -- I totally agree. I've worked for my boss on and off for eight years. She has never been willing to give me what I wanted (better pay, paid vacation, etc.) but I sucked it up. Now suddenly she has some spaces to fill because of an incident involving underage drinking and some questionable hirings, and she wants me to set my schedule. She basically asked what it would take for me to quit my other job and come to her full time.

Now that I think about it, I know eventually it would turn into what you said--long hours, crappy pay, and no opportunities for advancement.

So I'll keep the two jobs for now I guess. It's nice to know I'm not the only one working two or more jobs.

I can barely finish a small blizzard.  I'd barely be able to make a dent in a large one.  I can eat an entire bag of chips in one sitting though (not that I've done it recently).

I like getting the mini blizzards. It doesn't make me feel as bad.

I stuck to my diet today and went to the gym. Granted it is only day 2 but it's a start so I'm proud for my small victory.

Adamar - I probably couldn't eat a large blizzard either. But I can eat an entire medium pizza by myself. Well, in two sittings. I have been known to get myself a pizza and eat some for lunch and the rest for dinner.

Every time I turn around someone mentions chinese food.  I'm gonna have to find a chinese place around here soon I think.

I may go over to coldstone before too long for dessert here .
