Oh my God. She is adorable... the expression on her face in the picture with you looks angry, it's so cute :)

Also, I really like that shade of pink on guys for some reason. FI won't wear anything like that though because he's dumb.

Waitressing was seriously the bane of my existence. I was so happy when the last restaurant I worked at shut down randomly and I was forced to find a new job and I'm glad I took the opportunity to get out of the restaurant business.

Sorry, went off to eat... Yes she is insanely adorable. I can't wait to bring her home. She makes those little piglet grunts when you pick her up --- I forgot how puppies do that!!

I was happy that I convinced J to buy that pink polo. It actually didn't take much convincing. I think he feels cool wearing it lol.

Angel, I'm actually glad to hear you say that because I got an opportunity to quit my job in the pharmacy and go full-time for the restaurant I work part-time for. My boss basically said I could name my terms, and it sounded awesome, but something was nagging at me. It just didn't feel right.

Now I realize--it's because I'm not THAT into the restaurant business. I know a lot about it from my job and because FI is a chef, but it's definitely not something I want to devote myself to, even in a management position.

I need to be forced to find a new job.

ETA: Musu, you're making me want a dog so much. They're adorable!

My first waitressing job was an upscale sushi/hibachi place.  My boss was such an asshole, I hated that job.  He eventually was fired for being an asshole, but I had quit by that point.  The food there is AWESOME though and I still eat there regularly.  The onlly thing I miss about that job is the 30% discount

Musu, Sadie still grunts all the time.  It's funny to keep squeezing her and see how many times she'll grunt before she figures out what you're doing.  She also grunts whenever she lays down.  She's silly.

Mmm a blizzard! Funny because my brother just told my mom that they should go get DQ. I might have one too before the night is over.

I commend anyone who can handle being a server. Customer service sucked as a banker and a retail store associate, I can't imagine how much it would suck as a server.

This is going to sound crazy...

but I don't understand why I am so relaxed.

This week and next are always the WORST weeks for me professionally.  I organize a city wide art show (k-12), plus the AP test is next week and I need to make sure the students have all their work ready for it.

I normally am completely freaking out...stressed beyond belief...just a mess...

Instead I am laughing, finding time to help other teachers with stuff because I have extra time, etc.

Why?

Okay and now I'm back. 

I'm excited about my bridal shower this weekend - but my friend (a BM) says she can't make it because she has to work. And my Jr. BM will try to make it but her mom says she might have a basketball game that day. Am I disapointed they won't be there? Eh, not really. But my mom is like mortally wounded. She said to me that she was going to send my friend a nasty note for not taking off of work. I sincerely hope I have convinced her not to.

We had a thread about waitressing. But I can't say enough how I could NEVER do it.

About 5 now I think.  I'm horrible with remembering doggie birthdays.

I actually liked serving when I worked the lunch shift.  Working at night makes me cranky.  It's not pretty.

lol  Ya I could see that.  I don't want to show my face/am a huge horror fan/hockey fan so it seemed to work...but I remember when I first started posting people were scared when I had it as a sig pic.

I am really goofy...make silly faces and am always singing and dancing around...and I laugh a lot.

That could be it....last years was disastrous (including a death threat towards me) so maybe I am more go with the flow about it this year...I just hope I can keep it up!

I work as a substitute teacher and a theater teacher. So subbing and waitressig supliment the theater work. I wish I had more hours at the theater, or at least benefits, but I gotta do what I gotta do. Chels is right, the house will be worth it. But, I am still applying for a full time teaching job. Para/assistant teacher type jobs. But the economy is so bad, I have to cover my bases, KWIM?

I had a student with some severe issues that was not happy with the amount of space that they had to hang their artwork....it degraded to being called the worst names, my life being threatened and the student being escorted out of the building, and me spending about an hour bawling in the teachers' room.
