I judge everyone who forgets how to drive in the snow every year. We live in BUFFALO people!!! It's only winter like 9 months out of the year!!! (not that its snowing yet lol but the rain comment reminded me how it's gonna be with the idiot drivers when the snow does get here)
Posted by mgietler76
OMG no kidding. Seriously, every year when it first snows everybody is all "ZOMG what IS that??!? Why is it so cold?? Will it make the roads slippery death traps?!?!?" Unless you just moved here from Florida, quit trippin' and drive.

• SEWF - I am guilty of not wearing a helmet, sorry. Although I am with you on the other points of bikers. I can't stand when they don't use the sidewalk (no bike path) IMO unless you can pedal at 50MPH you shouldn't ride in the street.
I judge bike riders in my city who don't follow traffic laws. Unfortunately they can't ride on the sidewalks (and I say that as a more-often-than-not pedestrian), so they have to ride in the street, where there is no bike lane. Fine, but follow traffic laws! Just because there is no one in the intersection (because the light is red) does not mean you can fly through it.
I don't know about KC, but around here, if a bike is the sole vehicle at an intersection that requires triggering, it isn't enough to trigger. Neither will a motorcycle. I'm not advocating just breezing on through without looking, but, at least here, they sometimes won't ever get a green light unless there's traffic also going their way.

I FULLY agree with the helmet. No one should be on a bike without one, especially if they're going to ride in traffic.

• Oh dude. I forgot to add: I also judge YS for posting, on the photos of our new nephew, "OMG that's so disgusting." I don't think he's cute either, but DAMN.
• I have to jump on the judge train today --

I judge H's cousin. Their dog was run over while they were out bicycle riding and did not have the dog on a leash. This was in front of their six-year-old son. She posted a tribute to the dog on FB with a picture of him as her avatar. Four days later, they bought (not rescued, which made me even more angry) a new dog.

She is also going to come up to Vegas to visit friends, but won't make time to see H, even though they grew up together almost as siblings. This after her drunken speech at our wedding about how she would "always have his back." I get that she doesn't like me, but H is hurt that she won't make time to see him if even for just a coffee.

• Along the lines of ADD and ODD mentioned earlier:

I judge Imus for saying Autism was just an excuse for parents to let their kids misbehave.
(He also said some horrible things about the Rutgers Women's Basketball team.)

I judge myself for *kinda* thinking that him getting cancer was God's way of telling him to STFU.
I judge people who update their love lives through facebook status'. My cousin is guilty of this. He's 30+ and going through a break up. And holy crap. I swear he's going to off himself anyday now.
Posted by mandysmear
Yes, this. An old friend of my mom's just did this and ended it with a drunken proclamation of his undying love for my mother. All on FB.

I also judge the Survivor guy with the gay comment. and the chick who threw out the guy's alligator shoes. If I were him, I'd sue her after the show was over if they really did cost $1,300. And I also judge him for bringing $1,300 shoes on Survivor.
• I judge my sister, who can't figure out why people keep their distance from her, and why so many people no longer speak to her. It's because you're a stubborn b*tch w/a strict "my way or the highway" policy and not many people are willing to put up w/your crap!

I judge my coworker who is the biggest drama queen I've ever met. We didn't speak for almost two months because of something I supposedly did, but I'm not even sure because you wouldn't speak to me like an adult and tell me what your issue was. Now all of a sudden you want to be BFF again? What changed? You're a 31-year-old man, not a 13-year-old girl...

• I'm not a zoologist. I don't pretend to know different animal species, so the tiny possibility that it was a baby-poisionous snake is probably what prompted the shrieking.

I picked it up, and that's when I realized it was a snake, because I saw it's tongue, and it started to turn back toward my hand, and I realized I didn't grab it far up enough, so what did I do? I THREW IT. I then scrambled to pick it up again, (much higher) and throw it outside and slam the door.

I also failed to mention that all of this happened while I was changing clothes for bed, and I just stopped mid-task to grab the snake. I did go out on my patio in my underwear and a t-shirt. Score.

• I judge the kid that ate Jocelyn's animal crackers on Tuesday and then punched her in the face today! Don't make me go momma gangsta up in the preschool next week!
• I'm a non-helmet biker, but I'd only ever do it here. People in Sweden are so aware of bikers that it's really safe, even if we have to ride in the rode. But yes, you do have to know the hand signals.
• I work downtown and have to drive by the courthouses every day. Every day I judge all of the people going to court because

1) They usually don't figure out where they need to be beforehand, so they're either driving way too slow trying to look at the buildings and street signs OR they're driving like a bat out of hell because they're late for court

2) They don't pay attention to traffic laws, such as double right turn lanes, etc and almost hit me every.single.day when I'm in the left hand right turn lane

3) They J walk or don't stand on the curb when the'yre waiting to cross the street so I almost hit them whenever I'm driving or trying to turn

4) They cut across 3 lanes of traffic to get that one open paid parking place on the street, even though there are a billion parking lots/garages in a two block radius.

5) They try a billion times to parallel park into that street parking space, forcing me to sit behind them and wait for them to give up, making me late for work.

I'm sure there are some nice people going to court for some unfortunate situations, but most don't even attempt to put on a clean pair of jeans and I can't help but wonder what crime they committed or what child they're not paying support for...

I agree. Things like that tell you everything you want to hear because you're desperate to hear it.
• I judge the drunk girl at yappier hour last night that kept telling us to let our dog off her leash. Okay, then you can run after her when she gets out and is halfway to Cambridge before you realize it!

Dude, she runs fast. And I don't care about her running fast around here with people, dogs, waiters, drinks, etc. I care about her getting out of the one gate that they have and chasing her down!

Sorry, the girl was kind of annoying.
• I judge people who tell me "I live in it (meaning me); I should be fine/know how to drive in it." No, not yet.

Yeah. I moved here 2 years ago from the South. I do sort of know how to drive in it, but given the option, J does ALL the driving in the winter. It scares me, especially after the past 2 winters we've had.

I guess you'll never be visiting me then. Yesterday we were eating outside and 2 snakes slithered across the deck. This morning when I left for work there was one on the front porch. Rat snakes, I think. H says he's seen one in the garage before, which is separate from the house.

But we live kind of in woods, so it's to be expected.

It's not in Arizona is it? I've read about a place there where a lot of cancer patients go whenever they are out of traditional medical options. They give you an IV of essentially Vitamin C and stuff on steroids. It starts with an "E"...

• -

- I jugde my friends who allow their young children to have facebook pages (waaayyy under 13), let their children send me facebook requests, ask me why I haven’t accepted the tike’s friend request, then get mad when I tell them I am not going to accept it. Get over it – your child is not my peer!

- I REAAAALLLY judge people who do not monitor their kids’ internet usage…I just don’t get it.

- I judge my male coworker who wears too tight, too short jeans. Mooseknuckle all day long on Thursdays and Fridays. Dude, that really has to hurt.

- I judge people who aren’t nice to the IT people in their organization. They are the people you want to be nice to. They might turn a blind eye to your knot.com postings during work hours!

• my cousin went to a naturopath. changed her diet and took some herbal vitamins. 3 weeks later one lump was gone and the other shrunk drastically. now 3 months later, she's cancer free. (she didn't pay 25k though - that is A LOT of money for outpatient care)

she didn't do one thing western medicine related.

I totally agree with you. It's on a much smaller scale and certainly not life threatening, but 1 oz of apple cider vinegar a day has done more for my arthritis than taking 500 mg of Naproxin a day ever did. Really, it worked. I was shocked.
