Do you wanna judge things?

Re: Do you wanna judge things?

  • I judge being late to this thread.
I judge not having a swedish chef picture before today that says BORK.

    I judge oversharing on facebook
I judge people who are RSVPing to me to my own bridal shower when i'm not on the invitation and don't know when it is.

I judge my coworkers for offering me munchkins.

And I judge my apartment for having mice, but not for my FI's cat who killed a mouse last night. (sort of judging for throwing this in a la the snake comments)

And i judge that i think i would like LaurenClaire and the  chick who always has the margaritas and Twins stuff just because they have alcohol in their pics.
so this apple cider vinegar, do you take it in pill form, or do you have to drink it?
    Posted by daffodil_jill
I don't know that there's a pill form of it. Luckily, I reeeeeeally like vinegar, so doing a quick shot of it isn't terribly unpleasant for me. Also, you have to get the good organic kind that has "the mother" in it. That's supposedly what helps joint aches and stuff.

  • I judge all the men in my office (yes, I know it's them because I am only 1 of 2 girls) who clip their fingernails in their offices. The office is not your personal grooming station. I don't do my makeup or brush my teeth at my desk, why would you clip your nails at yours?

I judge H for telling me about the black widow spider that was in our house a few nights ago. Ignorance is bliss, no?

I judge myself for dancing around like a little girl when I saw another, decidedly not poisonous, spider while vacuuming last weekend. I was sitting on the floor using an attachment on the base boards behind our dog's crate and jumped up screaming and hopping around. H told me after that he thought my screaming was the vacuum making noise. And the spider was the size of a nickel, legs and all.

Yup. It's some kind of something that makes the apple cider ferment into vinegar. The kind I have is Bragg's and in giant letters on the label it says "contains the mother." You can't miss it. I'm sure they have it at Whole Foods.

It's basically natural cider. It's like the dfference between real, thick mapel syrup and the Aunt Jemima sugar-water stuff. The "real" fermented cider is, uh, really fermented, rather than just flavored and colored. So it sort of has sediment in it.

I've heard of people mixing it with water and drinking it because it's supposed to be not so caustic on tooth enamel that way.

Well, if you're shooting it, and drinking water/brushing your teeth pretty quickly afterward, you shouldn't be too badly off.

I judge people who do not follow directions and then get mad at me because they did not follow my directions.

I live in the Elmwood/Buffalo State area (H is from Hamburg) and I agree that WNY is not a fun place to drive when dealing with either bikers or snow.

I judge SIL's husband for getting annoyed that she is pregnant again when he is the one who insists on NFP.  I also judge her for going along with it if she didn't want to, especially since her doctor told her that she should wait a while before having more children.  (This is her 4th pregnancy in as many years.  She had a miscarriage when her second child was a couple months shy of her first birthday)

  • Hi Christine! Please stick around. I like to talk about hockey and Tim Hortons. Neither of which are common in SoCal. My childhood best friend lives sort of near Allentown and I went to high school near Deleware/Elmwood and West Ferry, so basically really close to where you live.

  • Hi Mery!  I've been around here for a while, but mostly just lurk.  I've been trying to chime in a little more lately.  Oh, and not to brag, but there is a Tim Hortons right in the hospital where I work so I have unlimited access.  I don't drink coffee, though, so it's kind of wasted on me.

Well, my grandma took one out when she was around 80 because she had terminal cancer and was going to die soon and just needed the extra income. Being 80 and a widow and all. It was for about half the value of her house, I think.

Christine: GRR! I pretend to be mad, but I'm just jealous. I usually get the french vanilla cappuccino or iced cap. But Timbits are amazing. Way better than Munchkins, IMO.
I judge myself for shrieking last night when I found a teeny-tiny snake (that I thought was a worm) in the apartment.
In Response to Re: Do you wanna judge things? : My dad. He got into a car accident when I was 11 that shattered his pelvis. So he's been in chronic pain for 13 years now. Of course he's prescribed narcotic painkillers, but he's hyper aware of the possibility of addiction and he started looking for something else. He did some research and came up with apple cider vinegar. The vinegar completely eliminates my pain most of the time, but mine's not nearly as severe as dad's. It doesn't completely get rid of his, but it makes it  tolerable. He still keeps his script up, because sometimes it just gets unbearable, but for the most part, he does a shot of apple cider vinegar a day and that takes care of it.

I remember my grandpa drinking apple cider vinegar for his arthritis too. Other than that he might have just taken OTC pain meds. Seemed to work for him.

I spend a lot of time up in Nova Scotia for work and was happy when they opened Tim Horton's in NYC!
  • Unpopular opinion: I kinda like snakes. Not huge ones in my house, but where I grew up, the only snakes we had were foot-long garter snakes in the yard, which are harmless.

Yeah! I heard some guy who owned some DDs franchises switched them out to Timmy Hos in NYC.

FI is from Boston and I introduced him to Timbits when we went to Buffalo in May. He agrees that they are better than munchkins.
