Re: Night thread

  • Tide, I will definitely be hanging on to that hope then! The adoption process can be long and hard from what I've heard.
  • Well, I think I'm going to head for bed.  Good night!
  • Good night Loopy!

I forgot how much I dislike Kenley. (PR)

  • Also what is up with Rachel McAdams starring in romantic movies about losing memory? haha.

  • MuSu- I'd be incredibly hurt if I wasn't invited to my siblings wedding. Poor J.

Well we're invited to the reception so its a consolation, right? ;) My mom would flip a shiit if either of my brothers didn't invite me to their wedding ceremony. MIL does not see this the same.

haha I hear ya! Tory's non-bone related toys usually end up shredded into pieces around the house for her to find and chew on later.

I am watching it but I just don't think it is the same without Nina, Michael and Tim Gunn. :(

<div>Our dogs have toys all over too! They have a toy basket and know to go get toys out but we can't get them to put the toys back yet. My uncles dog knows how to put all of his toys away, I'm pretty jealous of that. </div>

Whoa. This sounds like some intense training. What kind of dog? I would love for Tory to learn to clean up.

  • Yeah, my mom would kill me. But both of my siblings and H's brother were in our wedding party, so they'd be there regardless at your BIL's wedding. It just seems hurtful to me to say that their attendants are more important than their siblings. But I guess I'm lucky that my siblings and I are close. Same with J and his brother. Both guys I dated before him didn't get along with their siblings that well and I didn't realize how much it bugged me until after the fact.

  • He's a border collie. Our border collie mix knows the names of her toys so we're attempting to teach her to clean up. So far she just gets too excited with all of the attention and ends up rolling over for a belly rub.
  • I'm in the dog-toys-all-over-the-house club. It's a never ending battle.

Well, J didn't have his brother in his WP either, but I don't think it was a point of contention at all with BIL. They are friends and get along, but they aren't SUPER close. They've had their bad times over the years but have always gotten through them. I don't know, I just feel like unless you are actually estranged from the sibling, it seems really assholish to cut them out.

  • Aryn- I looove border collies. We were at a dog park a few weeks ago and this border collie herded all the dogs to the middle of the park and none of the other dogs had even realized what happened. It was really cool/ funny to watch. And the collie was 13!

  • That is really funny Tortis. Border collies are so cute. I would love to see more pictures of your pups Tortis. :)

  • Tortis, I'm glad to hear someone enjoys seeing that. I'm always so embarrassed when Sasha tries to herd the other dogs. She's not as quiet about it as the pure breds so she barks a lot while herding them.
  • Mmm, I just made dinner. I see we're talking dogs. I love dogs! ;)
  • Oh I think it's pretty great. My dogs just went with it and had no idea they were being herded. They're smart.

  • Ok so now I'm watching house hunters. This 21 yr old guy is a firefighter/paramedic. And he has a $300,000 budget. WTF? One of these things is not like the others...

  • Wow, he must be the best firefighter ever.
  • Maybe he's in a leadership position. I don't know how it works at a fire department, but maybe he's an equivalent to a sergeant/lieutenant/commander/etc.?
  • I'm always interested to see what you can get for $300,000. I know around here you can get a really large house in a nice neighborhood for that but in other areas it doesn't get you nearly as much.
  • I know, right? I mean he is in CA so his budget won't buy him AS much as it would otherwise. But still. WTF. And this guy is SO picky. He wants a pool and spa in his backyard. Dude you JUST got your alcohol privileges. Chill out.

  • I love house hunters but it always stresses me out. The people either annoy me, or they have ridic budgets that I could never afford, or they pick the wrong house or get caught up on details that are superficial. It's intense.

  • Fire Chief or Asst. Fire Chief would be the fire equivalent.  (My dad used to be one)

And they don't exactly make sacks of cash.

Either he's been saving up for a while, mom and dad are helping or he's got a trust fund.

    and hello ladies!
