It's Evening Time!

Hello! I've been semi productive today. I managed to finish the one little wedding project I'm doing while never getting out of bed, haha. What have you been working on today?

Hi Poke. I think my energy ran away with yours. I need to do laundry, and wash my sheets, but it's probably going to wait til tomorrow.

My sheets are in the washing machine right now. I've also folded all of my clothes that I washed today. And now I'm sitting in between piles of my stuff. 

Basically the way I clean is by throwing everything that is on the floor/not in its place onto the bed. Then I clean the floor and put things where they go. What I forgot is that I needed to clean the sheets - so now my pile is on the floor. Whoops.

I got nothing accomplished today but I'm ok with that.  I still have 2 more days off to get things done.

Yeah, I kind of left all my cleaning until the last minute. Which is fine, there isn't that much to do.

I do the same thing when I clean, Poke! I don't mind washing sheets as long as I've got another clean set I can put on right away... I hate having no sheets on my bed, even if it's just for the time it takes to wash and dry one set.

I need to clean too but I pretty much did nothing today.  I took a nap.  Talked to H.  He didn't have much to say and the phone woke me up so I was kind of out of it.

I always dump my clean laundry onto my bed, and then proceed to get overwhelmed trying to hang it all up. I hate hanging stuff up.

I've had a laundry basket of clean laundry on the chair in my living room for approximately a week now.

I keep forgetting about how much organizing I have to do. I moved from my apartment back into my parents house until FI and I move into our new place after the wedding, and since I know that in a month I have to pack everything up again it's hard for me to get motivated to organize things in my parents house now. But I do hate being disorganized.

Leisel - I only have the one set. I don't mind no sheets on the bed - what I hate is when I forget to put them on and get really sleepy - then try to go to bed and realise I have to put the sheets on the bed.

Loopy - he lands at 7 pm. It varies widely how long it takes to get through the airport though.

Poke - that is super annoying.  I will always have a spare set of sheets so I can remake it right away. Forgetting about them in the dryer and then having to delay crawling into bed while you put the sheets back on makes me cranky.  And quite frankly, it takes some of the enjoyment out of climbing into fresh clean sheets.

Poke - are you pickign him up?  Customs can be a crapshoot depending on what other flights come in at the same time.

I agree, Loopy. I love the feeling of sliding under fresh clean sheets. Poke, I hope your FI is able to get through the airport smoothly.

I used to have a second pair of sheets, but I left them in a laundry basket in the laundry room and my dog chewed a few holes in them. And I never bought another set because I knew I was leaving the country.

Yeah - I'm picking him up, probably with my grandfather. I am going to be too much of a nervous wreck to do it myself.

Airports are stressful enough without the added stress of coming in from another country. I'm sure all will go well though! That's good you'll have someone with you... Waiting alone in airports is the worst.

How far from the airport are you?  We lived 15 minutes (max) from the airport in Cleveland so we always told people to call/text when they were taxi'ing and we'd leave the house.  It worked out well so we rarely had to wait long , especially if they didn't check any bags.

i'm just hanging out til H gets home.  They always go out for a few martinis after work on saturday, so once he gets home we're grilling some pesto marinated chicken and having wine and cheese.  it's beautiful out, so i'm hoping we'll sit out on the balcony.  Assuming he gets home before it's dark

Loopy - I'm about 45 mins away in good traffic - but I will be in the tail end of rush hour so probably closer to an hour. 

ETA - Also, at the Atlanta airport, you have to go through security twice. Once right when you get off the plane, then you grab your suitcase and put it on another conveyor belt to be brought to the terminal and go through security again before you can get to the terminal. It's annoying as hell.

Hey hoars.  I actually have my sheets in the dryer right now and comforter in the washing machine.  I pulled a tick out of one of the dogs today so I figured I should get to washing the bedding.  And I have 2 sets but the other set is white so I don't use them when H is gone since the dogs sleep in the bed with me and they get dingy.

I went to a festival thing here today and found some cute things for outside.  I got a handmade bird house and some decorations for the deck.  And a badass grill spatula for H.
