Most normal babies I wouldn't worry about it. But E is still recovering from oral surgery and while he doesn't have any stitches left I still worry about it.

The little girl I nanny for is 19 months and it feels like yesterday that she was 10 weeks, which is when I started. Time does fly! C, I'd be annoyed with them about the knife even without the surgery.

poke, he was born with a cleft lip and palate. He had the lip repair at 5 months back in October and the palate repair just befor his 1st birthday in April.

Oh okay - were both surgeries successful? I hope he has a speedy recovery!

Barrel, I think we are planning on coming out that way some time this summer for a long weekend. We won't have so much already planned this time also.

So far both were extremely successful. You can hardly see the scar on his lip and within a couple months the palate should start working like nothing ever happened.

C, that's awesome. I'm glad things will function normally soon enough. I actually don't know exactly what a cleft lip and palette are, but I've heard of them.. I'll have to google.

I believe so! I think FI is going to come which is good and bad.. I like having him, but he hates it and knowing he's miserable gives me anxiety.. But leaving him at the house makes me feel like a bad hostess, haha.

I did really well with sunscreen, except I forgot the tops of my feet and they're burnt.

Angel, that sounds fun haha. I hate burned feet - no matter what shoes you wear they hurt.

Well, I'll be pretty busy for the next several weeks - but then I'll probably have absolutely nothing to do once FI leaves. I mean, at the very least I've been wedding planning.

Knitting classes are sounding better and better.

No freaking clue lol. I'm guestimating August? First I have to do all the name change paperwork and then I have to apply for my spousal visa.

poke, where is your FI from?

It really is. It should be more simple. First you have to get a new SS card, which takes several weeks. Then you need to get your new passport - again several weeks. New drivers license - in Georgia you get a paper one instantly and they mail you the "real" one. I think those are the three things I need changed to apply for the visa - which takes (if what I've read is correct) anywhere from two weeks to a month. Then I suppose in the time it takes to process that ish I can do things like change my name on my bank account, credit card, etc.
