Aryn you can make cappuccinos with espresso machines. Just add steamed milk, and foam.

For $2K, the machine better serve me cappuccinos in bed and clean itself.  And also the rest of my kitchen.  And maybe it should also do my laundry?  Yes.  It should also do my laundry.

My espresso machine can make cappuccino, but it's such a pain to clean that I never use it.

The last time my H ordered pizza, the confirmation email said 30-40 minutes and it took 55.  This time it said 57-67 minutes (seriously?  57?), and it took 23.  WTF.

I love my tassimo, it makes the best lattes. I haven't tried cappucinos though.

The whole machine is difficult to use.  It's this old-school Italian machine that was clearly made for families with live-in help.  No one should want to clean this thing regularly, I don't care how good the espressos/cappuccinos are.

Eta: no part of the machine is dishwasher friendly, and most of it is permanently attached.  And it weighs a ton.

We have a new girl at work, and she brought in her fancy coffee thinger, and insisted on showing me how it works.  I told her I don't drink coffee, but she was all "no, no you'll love this!  Just come see how it works!"

Sure enough, I tried some of the demonstration coffee and it tasted like....coffee.  Which I don't like.

My grandpa is blacklisted from all the local pizza delivery places, haha. He would be so picky when they got there that most stop delivering there now.

We live two miles away from the pizza place the delivers.  I'd be livid if it wasn't piping hot.

I liked Kalipi too. At first I thought she was joking. I don't drink coffee or espressos. Actually I tried one at a restaurant once, and it was like $6. My mom was like, are you sure....? And I said yeah I like the land o lakes packets so I want to try a real one! I took one fuucking sip and literally asked permission not to drink it. How many days would it take you to profit off a 2k machine selling at $6 a cup?!

Right, so in order to fill the cup for a lattee they add more milk vs. the amount of milk put in a cappuccino. The rest of the cup is filled with foam for a cappuccino. I used to have to make these things.

And lattes do have a little bit of foam.

H's cousin makes Cuban cappuccinos with steamed/foamed sweetened condensed milk.  They are like coffee candy.

Guys, I go to this same middle school twice a week, every week, for the past two months and once a week every week for a few weeks before that. Same time every day, same kid. They have a greeter, and it's been the same person all but a few times. EVERY TIME she acts super confused and like she has no idea who I am or what I'm doing there, or maybe I'm a terrorist or something. And the greeter's desk is right in the middle of a busy hallway and foyer area, so I hate having to say why I'm there, because I have to be super careful because of confidentiality and all the kids running around. Today I said "Hi, I'm here for [kid's name]," and she goes, "For what?" and I said "I'm from [agency]...? I work with her now..." And she goes "Work with her on what?" OH FFS GIVE ME A VISITOR'S BADGE AND LET ME GO SEE MY DAMN CLIENT.
