Comics have ruined my husbands ability to read real life books. He has tried starting a number of stephen king books but he got bored really fast. He doesnt like how long it takes for the story to get going and how much is discribed and explained. He wants to cut straight to the action and then be done. I hate it. If he ever ends up bed ridden one day im forcing him to sit down and read like a normal adult.

How could that come across as being a slight against adoption? We were talking about the difference between breeding dogs and breeding humans.

Honestly, I feel bad for you that people have said horrible things to you in the past about you being adopted. I couldn't give a flyingfuck if anyone is adopted or a biological child of their parents, it's all the same to me. What I'm trying to tell you is that you are taking comments WAY out of context and warping them to your own personal issues. When you do that publicly to someone, they are not going to appreciate it.

I would have NO IDEA about your past and that you, alone, would take that comment in such a weird way. Maybe you should seek some counseling because you clearly have issues you need to work through with a professional.

Ok, I know you can't see how that's offense.  That's why I'm telling you it is.  You haven't been in that circumstance.

I am not the only person in the cosmos who would take it that way.  I'm confident that the people I know who are adopted would take it the same way. 

Please do not tell me I need counseling for these "issues".  They aren't issues.  I just feel like I should try to educate people rather than let them say things that could be regrettable.  I think that's the kind thing to do.  Do you say that to everyone you disagree with?  I sure hope not.

Oh bah, I've been holding an "I Judge" in for a couple of days but I only just got here after lunch and meetings and other disasters! 

Anyway: I judge anyone who cuts me off in traffic but has a "What Would Jesus Do?" bumper sticker. Because I'm pretty sure Jesus would be a courteous driver and NOT make me nearly run off the road.

What kind of lip moisturizer do you use, Mandy? When I put on my face lotion and my lips are chapped I will put the lotion on my lips, too, before putting on Burt's Bee's or some other lip balm that doesn't have parabin in it.
