  • I think the rehoming a dog vs. a horse thing is different because people seem quick to dump their dogs. And dogs live in your house not in a barn - most people I know board their horse so they just show up and ride and love on them then leave - they never have to clean the stall or do turnouts etc.

It seems like people are quick to re home their dogs because its just inconvenient for them. And THAT is what makes me angry. Like if you just decide that you don't want a pet anymore, that is ridiculous IMO. But if you can't afford proper care for a pet, then you need to rehome to someone that can provide a good home to the animal.
  • What was your flame Eags?  I didn't see it before it got eaten.

  • Sesh. I've just been lurking, but seeing you say you haven't eaten a "full meal" because you can't afford it, doesn't make sense. Ramen is cheap - add chicken and veggies. Bam. It's coming off as "I'm a starving artist, feel bad for me" I just keep seeing it and it's bugging me. Maybe because I've been eating on a budget for a few months - you can make "full meals" with not a lot of money.
  • I flame LDY for vaguebooking!  Have I missed any announcements?  I need to know!!  NOW!!
  • I have a flame but it's lame.
Everyone on my month board that got all pissy about the SB AE's popping in.  They reported all the AE's posts so they were all deleted.  Nobody was attacking anyone and nothing was even remotely ban-worthy.  People need to not get their panties in a wad.
  • Oh sorry, MP! WE ARE MOVING TO NORTH CAROLINA!! But I can't officially announce it on FB until my boss decides what he wants to do about my position b/c I'm friends with lots of folks in the industry and what not. But I'm alluding to it a lot. So whatever.
  • I saw one of the AEs say something about that this morning, but I think it got lost in the shuffle.  I agree, food is kind of important.  If you're really struggling that much there are programs to assist you.

  • Congrats, LDY!  I totally understand keeping it off of FB.

Where in NC?  Charlotte?  Are going there to join MUN1 in your fight for gay marriage, just like you did in Mississippi?
  • Oh I didn't realize an AE had mentioned it too. But yeah, I think I have seen it at least three times this week with your potluck debacle sesh, and really, you need to freaking eat. Something needs to change (like cutting something or setting up a budget) or like someone else said, there are food assistance programs. You can't just not eat.
  • This is not a flame, but I just have a hard time believing people would really not do a sex tape for 100 mil. Like, if someone showed up at your house with a camera, Ben Affleck, and a Samsonite full of hundreds are you really going to say "thanks but no thanks?"
  • Not to make this pile on Sesh day, but we get it.  You hate your job and everyone you work with.  It's getting a little old to hear about it every single day, though.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: FFF : Eh, it's lame, but I think the AEs need to stay over on SB.  I can't even visit there today unless I turn sigs off because I don't want my co-workers to walk by and see that stuff on my computer. So I'm just avoiding SB, but I'd be annoyed if they kept popping up here.  Of course, I think this AE idea was stupid anyway.  Flame away.

I can totally see how some people are annoyed by them, so no flame from me on that.  It was just really annoying how people were all "ZOMG WE ARE SO STRESSED WE DON'T NEED THIS RIGHT NOW!!!" and then reporting the posts to get them removed.

H was totally against me doing it if the tape was guaranteed to leak.  I was kind of surprised, actually.  Now, who knows what he would actually say if the cash was there in front of him.

  • rupert, my immediate thought to that proposal was YES!  I figured that it would be the celebrity who would get way more press than I would.  I might have my name in a paper for a week, but nothing else.  Then I thought "But my family, friends, and, most importantly, my husband would still know about it and I would be embarrassed."
  • That's so exciting, LDY!!  I've never been to that part of NC, but I'm sure it's beautiful.

That's awesome.  I love NC and the years we spent there, but I'm so disappointed right now.   I am very proud that the county I lived in (New Hanover) voted 'no'.    A friend of mine posted a map of the voting outcome and all of the counties that voted against it were the ones that hold the major universities.   There's a little something to be said about being educated vs being ignorant.
    ETA:  I'm referring to Amendment One, not gay marriage.  If it wasn't clear. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />
