I think the rehoming a dog vs. a horse thing is different because people seem quick to dump their dogs. And dogs live in your house not in a barn - most people I know board their horse so they just show up and ride and love on them then leave - they never have to clean the stall or do turnouts etc.

It seems like people are quick to re home their dogs because its just inconvenient for them. And THAT is what makes me angry. Like if you just decide that you don't want a pet anymore, that is ridiculous IMO. But if you can't afford proper care for a pet, then you need to rehome to someone that can provide a good home to the animal.

Sesh. I've just been lurking, but seeing you say you haven't eaten a "full meal" because you can't afford it, doesn't make sense. Ramen is cheap - add chicken and veggies. Bam. It's coming off as "I'm a starving artist, feel bad for me" I just keep seeing it and it's bugging me. Maybe because I've been eating on a budget for a few months - you can make "full meals" with not a lot of money.

I have a flame but it's lame.
Everyone on my month board that got all pissy about the SB AE's popping in. They reported all the AE's posts so they were all deleted. Nobody was attacking anyone and nothing was even remotely ban-worthy. People need to not get their panties in a wad.

I saw one of the AEs say something about that this morning, but I think it got lost in the shuffle. I agree, food is kind of important. If you're really struggling that much there are programs to assist you.

Oh I didn't realize an AE had mentioned it too. But yeah, I think I have seen it at least three times this week with your potluck debacle sesh, and really, you need to freaking eat. Something needs to change (like cutting something or setting up a budget) or like someone else said, there are food assistance programs. You can't just not eat.

This is not a flame, but I just have a hard time believing people would really not do a sex tape for 100 mil. Like, if someone showed up at your house with a camera, Ben Affleck, and a Samsonite full of hundreds are you really going to say "thanks but no thanks?"

That's awesome. I love NC and the years we spent there, but I'm so disappointed right now. I am very proud that the county I lived in (New Hanover) voted 'no'. A friend of mine posted a map of the voting outcome and all of the counties that voted against it were the ones that hold the major universities. There's a little something to be said about being educated vs being ignorant.
