Good Evening?

Re: Good Evening?

  • Aliegh, I kind of felt the same way. My ILs were all about paying for the RD but they wanted me to plan it. Not in so many words, just more like "Well Anna knows the good restaurants in Orlando, we want to make sure everything is exactly what Anna wants so we're going to bug her about every single solitary detail. What kind of flowers should we get? Should we do a seating chart? What stamps should we put on the invitations, etc etc etc." It drove me crazy. I would much rather have just had them pay for the booze or flowers or something.

But I never said anything because they meant well and were being nice, even if it was annoying.
  • One of my exes had an ex named Elena (pronounced El-en-a, not El-ay-na), and she was horrible to me, so that name is ruined for me.

  • MuSu I didn't even think of the age thing. That is strange. How old "should" be be? 3? 4?

Aleigh I feel like all you would have to do is get a restaurant to host the RD. I'm sure your FILs wouldn't mind planning it. Is there another reason you are hesitant?
  • I hate when people ruin a good name for me. I will forever hate the name Cecilia or anything that is similar.

  • I love the name Eleni!

FI and I have had a hard time coming up with girls names. We have our sons name picked out though, Phillip Wesley. We keep changing our minds on girls though, haha good thing we've got a lot of time!

  • Good evening all!

I am sorry if this has been covered, but I skipped ahead to the end of this thread before reading.....does anyone know what happened in the white trash thread that ended up getting it deleted?

Unfortunately the name "Jess" is ruined for me. And I know people I like who are named it, and like the show The New Girl.

I gave up on the saga. But someone linked it somewhere, maybe the trolling thread? Or perhaps early on in the flaming DJ thread on PS.

  • I think having a rehearsal definitely would be beneficial. Maybe its just my dancer in me talking but I love practicing first, haha.

Meg -- He was born in season 4, so I think he should be 3. But the baby is only 2ish so his development is off, since by now he should be talking way more at 3 years old.

  • What's this white trash thread you speak of? Musr have missed it.

  • Thanks MuSu! And yeah....kind of fizzled out there.
  • MK - there's a link a few posts ups.
  • Sorry to be off topic but does anyone know how to make cheese straws? They are my favorite but I cannot figure out to make them, I think I messed up cause they just crumble and burn.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Good Evening? : He was so darn adorable. My favorite parts of that show now are just seeing Michael C Hall with his cute baby. Although it confuses me because there was supposed to be a year gap between last season and now, and the baby obviously couldn't age so the baby is a year behind developmentally than his character should be, hah.

Haha isn't it just adorable? Even practically emotionless Dexter can be all cute with his baby. :) Then again, he was always great with Astor and Cody too.

    Mari -- Thank you! :)

  • Tortis you know what is kind of fun? Now that I've finished Evidence (thank god), watching Law and Order SVU courtroom scenes make more sense when the objections come about.

Haha yeah exactly! I mean, he is in preschool. I taught 3 year olds as a dance teacher and they DEFINITELY know how to talk in sentences not just random words here and there.

  • I LOVED Dexter with Cody. So sweet. I'm still in the middle of last season, so I'm behind. We don't have Showtime so I have to wait until they come out on DVD.
