I have what is apparently an unpop op.  If you suck at your job (like cannot meet the basic requirements. You know, like knowing how to alphabetize or answer a phone when you work as a secretary), you should be fired.  I don't care how long you've been with the company.  eff that loyalty shiit. If you suck and you can't do the job, you shouldn't be kept as an employee. And you most certainly as shiit shouldn't continue to get raises, just because you've been here forever.

How is this an unpopular opinion?  In a capitalist society, the role of business is to make money in an efficient way.  It makes no sense to pay people to not do their job.  I mean, it's nice if employers give continuing education so that people develop skills as needed to keep their job, but that's a different issue.
Ditto KC.  AND why the fvck can't a woman make sure the guy wears a damn condom? (Yes, I know they break and stuff, but I highly doubt all unplanned pregnancies result from condoms breaking, lets be honest.) It's far easier for a woman to 'trick' a man into getting her pregnant by lying that she's on the pill or whatever. Plus, if you have unprotected sex, there's a morning after pill too. I still think women have WAY more options than men when it comes to the decision of whether or not a child will be produced.
    Posted by Steph+J
Totally, and frankly if I were a guy I'd wear a condom every single time no matter what the hell a girl said to me unless I wanted to be a baby daddy. And if I were a girl and slept with men and wasn't on the pill sex would not happen without a condom ever - which should be used anyway unless you know your partner is STD free. It seriously amazes how many 20+ year old girls are completely ignorant about sexual health and think it's totally ok to have one night stands without condoms "beacause they're on the pill". Plan B can fix an unwanted pregancy, but it can't cure HIV or the clap, dumbass.

  • Nebb, I have to censor my Englishness at home sometimes. H said I have to give him warning if I'm going to pop out with a phrase he won't understand.

Well, I don't realise I've done it, until he's going "Huh?".

He wants me to become all American already (been here since July) and I kinda want to hold onto my Englishness. :/

  • Guess what. You can still get pregnant if you're charting AND use a condom. ;)  I mean, I'd think the chances are way less if you're on the pill and use condoms, of course.  But, like I said before... I highly doubt most unplanned pregnancies fall into that scenario. I'm guessing more fall into the "I'm INVINCIBLE" category. or the "I WAS DRUNK" category.

Steph- I am a happy member of a teachers union. I also have no patience for people who a shockingly inept at their jobs, why they still have said jobs. Mostly I am usually apalled that totally incompetent employees make it through in the probationary period. (In teaching thats 3 years.)  To the "loyalty" non-probationary period.
