Re: Morning

  • awww, hugs, BJ! I hope you guys are able to keep things neutral and not too much of a PITA.

I'm doing well, it's balls being as big as a buick the summer of record breaking heat waves, but other than that, I can't complain ;)

  • I'm on my phone while I wait, BJs, but I can link you later from my account -I think there's a wait if you're not referred by someone (I had to wait a week or two) . It's cool to check out products before you commit to them. Alright, she's out now, so we're going to distract ourselves by shopping, lol. Have a great one, guys!

Yup, totally me who got Kesha'd by my bath that time. I think it was the dragons egg bomb, never again. I really hope that TK doesn't eat that dollar sign or it won't make sense.
  • I'm sorry, BJs.  {{hugs}} to you.

I love BirchBox.  Well worth the $10, imo.  I get the Glam Bag too (same type of deal, also $10).  July were particularly good for both of them, and I like being able to try products without committing to a full size package if I don't like it.

  • Some friends of ours just got back from renting a houseboat on Lake Cumberland. They said that you aren't allowed to put your TP in the toilets, and when they flushed, you could actually see the business just being pushed out into the lake. They asked about it, and I guess all houseboats are allowed to do it. (at least on Cumberland) MIL has a place on the water at Cumberland, and we swim in the lake every summer...I've been swimming in turds :(

Thanks for the support ladies :)  It means alot, believe me!

We're doing the best we can, and I'm living right up the street so I can see my girls all the time, which I love. My H is being really great about that, he encourages me to come over any time I want, even if it's just to say good night and tuck the kids in. I know alot of people don't have it like that, so I'm really fortunate.

I think I might have to look into this birchbox/glam bag thing - I am nothing if not a makeup hoar.

Oh dear God. That is so gross.
And I meant to tell you - I was pregnant in the summer too, and it is balls hot no matter what you do lol - I was a miserable witch towards the end of my pregnancies (I have an August and a September baby)
  • Oh, gross dmills. I can't believe they let that happen. Well, I can, but still, people suck.

Ha, so I'm going over some sites by other CWs that were sent back to them by QC. I'm reading their notes and it's kind of hilarious. I don't think the newbs realize literally everyone who accesses the sites can see their notes because they are so sarcastic and condescending.
  • Morning!

I may need to look into this Birchbox thing as wel since I just cancelled my $30 a month gym membership. Hmmm.

    Happy Friday!

OMG barf. That reminds me of when I was on a mission trip in Tijuana, Mexico when I was in HS. We weren't allowed to flush our toilet paper because it would come out through the shower heads.

There's a lake by the house I grew up in that's pretty shallow, so bacteria develops pretty easily. We had to shower anytime we swam in it because we were at risk for swimmer's itch from all the duck poop in the water.

Well, I was married before, and my XH and I are really good friends still. And we didn't have kids together.

I think it's a great thing if you can stay friendly with your ex, especially for your kids. There was a time when we were in love enough to create these children, and it's not their fault that things didn't work out. Between school stuff, birthdays, holidays, etc, there are going to be a lot of things we need to work out together, and I'd much rather do it wtih someone I can sit down and have a rational, civil discussion with.

I'm finished having kids now, but if I could do it again, I would certainly be getting pregnant in the summer time lol

You were absolutely on time, huh? My youngest was born on 9/8 and she was the closer of the 2 to her actual due date.
  • KD, people think my family is weird too because my mom and dad will plan things together for the kids and are perfectly fine with everyone going out to eat or to events. Hell, they'll pay for each other sometimes. But I think it's a little different with us because my parents and their siblings grew up together so both families have known each other for years and years.

Now, that being said, if it weren't for my brother and me, my parents would likely never talk to each other unless it was a random encounter.
  • Ugh.  Glad that appointment is over.  They want an ultrasound done which is fine.  I just hate the pelvic one because that's when you have to drink 3 gallons of water and try to NOT go to the bathroom as they press all over your bladder.  It's next week so I still have time to cancel ;)
  • Man, with me just getting into Pinterest last week, and then ordering those new boots yesterday, and all this birchbox and Sephora talk, I'm going to be so broke lol.

For a while after we split, my X was invited to all the family functions still. And he's still good friends with my brother and nephews. But, they had also known him forever. We got together when I was 16 and split when I was 27, so he was a part of the family by then.

Mom and I slept upstairs with the kid. We did our thing during the day and he would take
    B-man with him.

    BJ- I'm glad you have a healthy outlook on things. {{hugs}}
