My boss works in Rhode Island, but she sent me a Bath & Body Works gift set. So that was cute. There's a manager of another dept who sits in my office and she got everyone Wawa gift cards and lotto scratch offs. She got me one, too, so I wouldn't be left out. So that was nice. I made out this year with some soap, lotion, and $15 toward coffee and cigarettes. It's nice, but it's not an iPad.
Todd's company bonuses based upon the company's performance. This year his bonus was for 15 days pay. I want to go work with Todd, but they don't even have a department for what I do there. I'm strongly considering meeting with them to propose that I create a department for what I do there. It seems like any company with a call center should have at least one of me.

My job told me to pay up my share of the Christmas party costs as my gift. I billed 10% over my projected goal this year, and I essentially got an f-you. Which is why I'm knotting this morning rather than scrambling to bill more. Passive aggressive much?

Wait, what? They're looking for money FROM you? Go put bird seed on the roof of his car.
Hello! I am here too, been busy all morning. Now I'm pretty much done but sadly have 4 more hours left of work. Last night we went to my parents for dinner, the football game, and presents with them, my brother, SIL, niece and nephew since they have to head back to VA tomorrow.
H will pick me up here at 4pm, and we'll head to straight to my cousin's for my mom's side of the family GTG. Tomorrow I will go to church, H & I will do presents and have breakfast, then chill before going to my dad's side's GTG. We visited H's family last weekend.
My brother & family are on their way to our place now to see the tree and the cats. My niece and nephew haven't been to the new place yet, and my niece LOVES animals. So she is so excited to go see our kitties. I wish I could be there, her little face just lights up when she sees animals. She takes after me LOL.

I am sorry to hear about your parents. Are they there locally that you can go and visit or perhaps take them out for a while? I think about that from time to time, what H and I will do as our parents start to get older. Posted by MissySue20[/QUOTE]
Patients, not parents. My parents are just fine, and I'll be seeing them tomorrow. I take care of patients in a nursing home, and a bunch of them are alone this holiday season. Luckily, the nurses usually put something on for them to bring up their spirits. But thank you for your concern, Missy. :)
I really can't read today. I think I need to take a shower to wake up.
That is sad. Nursing homes are really depressing. I remember when my great grandparents were in there. I just wanted to cry everytime I stepped foot in the door. Some of those people just get put there by their families and then they never come to visit bc they can't deal with it or whatever. It is hard, but it is also so good to see thier faces light up when they have company.
*phew* I just finished my monkey bread-- from scratch biscuits even!
It's really hard to believe that is small, but if a say so! He seemed pretty huge to me!
So, LVB, the PRESSURE IS ON for tomorrow. Or, you can pretend that you actually sent your poor, lonesome internet friend some of your food and SHE said it was AHMAZING. lol...
H has an ipad and honestly... meh. I don't get what all the fuss is about it. It's heavy, inconvenient to hold, and hard to type on.
Now I want mulled wine. Hmm. Darn SIL for being pregnant and BIL for having the flu. H won't drink mulled wine, and I don't think I should make a whole batch just for myself.
Do you all make sweet or savory monkey bread? I always did sweet but now I think H would be more likely to eat savory if I made it.

I need to work where you guys work! For our Christmas bonus we were informed that we will be in a pay freeze until, at least, 2016. We won't even get a cost of living increase

I feel your pain. They've been on a pay freeze for 3 years now and haven't announced when they're going to institue raises again.

It's fantastic. You really must try it. Of course now that we;re talking about it I might plan on making it for New Year's Day. We already have breakfast planned for tomorrow.
Dude, I made a whole batch of wine for myself. Word. Up. KJB, did you see the link I posted about Christmas being ruined because the stores ran out of Glogg here?? lol

Breakfast? Who needs it for breakfast? This is dinner tonight!
I have everything at home to make mulled wine. I might just do it tomorrow.
I am so hungry talking about food at 10:25am. Darn you all!
Has anyone done savory monkey bread? I read a recipe using herbs and Parmesan instead of sugar and cinnamon. It looked good, but again, I was worried that I'd be the only one eating it.
Just a side note. I love online shopping. I was stalking something on Ebay and got outbid. I was waitin for the next one to come around to bid on that. Decided to check Amazon. I have free shipping there, so it was cheaper than Ebay. Score.
