[QUOTE]Morning everyone. Stacks, if it makes you feel any better verizon is just as bad. I have had so many arguments on the phone with them over the past 8 years. I wish I could quit you, Verizon. I am on my way to work and it's so lonely. Usually FI and I have "couples commute" in to the city together, but since he is going to the 9 hour batman in IMAX extravaganza he went into work at the buttcrack of dawn. I really hope today is less rage inspiring.

My dad was talking about going to this. I'll have to ask him at lunch if they're doing it. If it wasn't on a Thursday, H and I would probably be down with going to it.

• There's no way I would be able to sit through 9 hours of movies. My RLS kicked in BAD when we went to see Ted. I felt bad for the woman next to me.

• I could never sit still for 9 hours in a theater. I have no idea how people do this.

• Yeah, nine hours of movies? Could never do it, no matter how good they are.

Every year, the theatre near us has an "Oscar showcase" where for $60 you can watch all of the movies that were nominated for "Best Picture" at the Oscars (you also get a "free" large popcorn and soda, with free refills). My sister goes every year. I have never done it. Spending 10 AM - 11 PM in a movie theatre (even with a 2-hour dinner break) seems like hell.

• Morning.

I agree with Bay, Aleigh. We'll need pictures. Are you cutting it in a completely new way or an old favorite?

Stacks, AT&T customer service sucks and this is coming from someone who's relative works for them (a completely different part of AT&T but still). They're not any nicer to people who work for their own company because we have them now and can't get rid of these POS phones we have even though one of the customer service reps told us they know they're POS. They still have to follow their process. I have had to turn my phone off and back on every time I've gotten a text message today, just to be able to read it.

I hope T gets it taken care of today. Sounds like he will.

I was over at my aunt's house last night with a bunch of other aunts and female cousins to show her support before she begins all this process. Turns out that she's had this cancer for 9 years despite being religious about mammograms. This kind doesn't show up on them.
• So 9 hours? I thought that was an exaggeration. That's for real? What do they do? Play all the movies back to back? That sounds awful. I don't care for Batman though so that probably has a lot to do with it. Is there a new one coming out or something? Should I know that?

I finally went to the movies for the first time in 5 years last weekend. We took J to see Brave. We spent $50 at the movies. I probably won't be back for 5 years. That's crazy.
• So, half a club sandwich on whole wheat with low fat mayo, turkey bacon and no chips or fries on the side. I can do that. Thanks, ladies.
• I saw Brave the other day with my mom. I liked it. Her horse looks like a horse I used to ride.

• The only reason we're not doing the 9 hours of movies for Batman is because H doesn't get PTO/sick time at his job yet. He's too new.
• Awe Midge, sorry to hear this, good thoughts to your Aunt.
• I saw Brave on my birthday, it was okay - I liked it but it wasnt what I was expecting, I didnt think (the previews didnt make it seem like) it was going to be about a bear lol.

• I'm sorry about your aunt Midge. How do they know she's had it for 9 years? I hope she has a good prognosis, I haven't seen you talk about it prior to this so sorry if you already explained.
• Yea I'll never think of Merida as a Disney princess. Sorry, it just won't happen. Like it was an ok movie but I think some of the parts were way too scary for little kids.
• I'm so sorry about your aunt, Midge

Thanks all. From her explanation last night, it sounds like they know approximately how fast every cancer cell grows. So when she noticed something strange and went right to her doctor they did MRIs and found the mass. From how big it is, they were able to figure out approximately how long she's had it.

She does have a good prognosis so far but she's going today to get more tests run to make sure it hasn't spread to her liver, etc. It wasn't in her lymphnodes which is huge and the main passage it spreads through so it shouldn't have spread but they're just being cautious. She has a kick-ass attitude about it which also helps. They're guessing 1.5 years for her to be cleared.

Good luck to her! A kick ass attitude does help. A friend has battled it twice, she's one of the few people I admire in the world. Nothing stops her now...

Yes, it comes out at midnight tonight. Luckily, FI has realized he's old so we don't have to go see the midnight showing. We'll probably see it this weekend, however.

• I saw Brave too. Not one of Disney's best. I agree with whoever said the previews did not make it seem like it would be about a Bear. I think they could have made it awesome, but fell short. I mean a badass Scottish princess archer would totally be an awesome role model. They just didn't hit it though.

• I'll definitely post pictures. We're going to see the new batman at the drive-in tomorrow.
• Bay, you have no idea. I HATE being in the office right now. Blah. My attitude is terrible.

Midge, super hugs to you and your aunt!

9 hours of movies? I would have a raging headache. Probably a stomachache as well.
• Morning. I am worried about my kitty. I took her an hour and a half away to get fixed yesterday and I am worried about her incision. It's very messy and looks like a starfish. I feel horrible for her. I took her so far away to save money (it's $400+ to spay a cat at a local place) so I took her to a spay and neuter clinic where that is all they do. I have to call them and see if her incision is normal, but I can't take another day off work and take her down. So far it is staying closed and isn't oozing, so we're probably okay. I just feel awful for her. She hates her e-collar.

• Poor baby, Habs! Did they already set you a follow-up appointment? I'd see if you can take her in earlier. I've never gotten a cat spayed (we have a male) but I've heard they can be complicated.

FI bought tickets for us to see Batman at midnight, but told me that it opened on Friday night/Saturday morning. I don't particularly want to go tonight. We'll see. He's insisting he told me the right day, but I have been thinking all week how tired I'm going to be on Saturday, so he must have told me the wrong thing.

• *HUGS* Midge and Habs :(

Yeah Stacks, I loved Brave, but I was seeing it as an adult, I can see why it would be really scary for little kids.

• Thanks everyone. :) I have faith she can beat it, it's just a tough road I've seen too many people go down.

Habs, sorry your kitty's not having a good day. I hope her incision is normal and okay.
• Nope, no follow up. It's a spay/neuter clinic, they do 25 surgeries a day. It's run by the OSPCA and they do less expensive surgeries to encourage people to spay and neuter their animals. I have had friends that went and all were very happy, so I took her there to save like $300... I think she'll be fine, I just don't think they did a good job of gluing up the site. They glue instead of stich so you don't have to go back....

• hey everyone. I am just killing some time until I have to take my mom to the doctors. She had breast cancer a few years ago....and after treatments she was good for a while, but they found something on her mammogram reccently and so I am taking her for a biopsy today. I am kind of nervous, I know she is too, but we are both trying to put on a brave face for each other.
• I normally fall asleep during any movie that starts after 8:00, but I love going to midnight openings. The Harry Potter ones were amazing. I just love the enthusiasm and excitement. It usually gets me pumped enough that I don't fall asleep.

We're probably going to go tomorrow night, since FI doesn't remember where he put the tickets anyway. He's so organized. :/
