Evening thread

Re: Evening thread

  • Brandi, I'm always amazed at how different you look in your sig pic than in every other pic of you I've seen.
  • Holy crap Rachers, that's a project!
  • Hey guys. One of our branches (the one two minutes from my apartment but not the one I work at) was robbed today. They caught the guy a couple hours after, but I worked at that branch for like three months. Crazy. I'm just at home alone, h went to the gym by himself today, I had a stressed out day since we were so busy. I didn't get to leave until like 40 minutes after my shift ended, so I'm chilling out tonight. Tis weekend I'm home aloner too, h is going to texas to help his sister move, but I have to work Saturday.
  • Angel, I was so afraid to see ours because we were in the weirdest positions that just didn't seem like us, but they turned out amazing. I'm sure yours will be great! I hate my nose, too and there's one picture that's AWESOME of H but I just hate my nose in it. It was really hard to agree to buying a print of that, haha.
  • Fucking iPad and its autocorrect. I'm not a loner!
  • Good evening.  I was really lazy today, and it was glorious.  I don't have many lazy days left before school starts.

We just bought a new bed and mattress.  We got one of the memory foam ones, but not Temperpedic brand.  I think maybe it's a Sealy?  I love that thing.

  • Wow, yeah you do look a lot different. In more recent pics you look just like my BFF from college.
  • I love how ambitious H is and that he's willing to work such long hours, but I am really sick of never being able to have a date night with him. I'm really hoping he can get off a little earlier tonight so we can go out to dinner.
  • Any, it could have called you a boner.  :)

Brandi, that color picture is stunning.

  • Yeah, Brandi, you look beeeautiful. What were those photos for?
  • I did a boudoir shot.  I went through a skin cancer scare and now have a noticeable scar on my face so I felt really bad about myself at that time.  The shoot boosted my self esteem tremendously.

  • That's awesome, Brandi :) I used to have skin cancer, too and I sympathize about not liking the scar. It took me about two years before I felt confident to wear anything but long pants again - I have a pretty big scar on my leg from surgery.

[QUOTE]Angel, I completely missed whatever situation caused the fish thing.  But that just sounds horrible.  But I hope you get to see some of your pictures soon.  That is always exciting.

We have a decorative pond in our back yard and one of the fish decided to commit suicide by jumping out of the pond onto the mulch. I found him yesterday morning and let's just say it wasn't pretty and the smell was awful.

  • I am loving everyone's pretty wedding pics up.  Rach and Any your pics are gorgeous.  I almost want to put wedding pics back up, but I'm too much of hag now for them.

  • Yuck. I hate the smell of fish.
  • Leisel- I love your bouquet.  I originally wanted peonies but the florist said they were out of season and wouldn't hold up.  We ended up having to do silks then anyway.

Ugg, that is weird and disgusting.  Though I have a picture of the Mario flying fish in my head from that.  Still bad though.

  • Thanks, Brandi! We were technically out of season for them, too, because of how early spring came this year for the California growers. We got lucky, though :)
  • Peonies are my favorite.

Everything the light touches is my kingdom.
  • I love peonies. It's safe to say I won't have them for my January wedding. I'll probably do a brooch bouquet anyway though. I can't really find any purple flowers I like for the centerpieces, so I may just do white roses or something simple.

I originally didn't want any peonies, but I'm glad I went with them. They were nice and fluffy :)
  • We ended up with roses for the bouts, corsages, and centerpieces and then hydrangia and rose (silk) boquets.

Funny how I started by saying "I absolutely don't want roses".

  • I am a horrible flower identifier, with the exception of the obvious ones like roses, tulips, hydrangeas, daisies, etc.  Peonies?  No effing clue.

Me too. I'm trying to remember what the flowers in my bouquet were...and the picture is in my sig. I really just told my florist what colors I like and she went wild.

  • We used carnations in the bouquets and centerpieces.  Mainly because this is what I told the florist, "I don't know flowers, my color is purple, I hate roses, and I don't want to spend a ton of money."
