I think she mentioned it earlier this week too that she was not looking forward to today because of it or something?
  • Well that was one time she mentioned it, but I know she mentioned it another time this week as well. It was when she found out about the potluck earlier this week.

  • LDY - if you're still here - make sure if you end up with a gap in insurance coverage that the issue the meds are for doesn't become a preexisting condition and get excluded from your future coverage.  Cobra or some kind of contingency coverage may be required to maintain coverage through your gap period to avoid having anything categorized as preexisting.
A friend of ours had asthma, but not bad.  He had a preexisting clause that it wouldn't be covered for 12 months (or something) so he just didn't go to the doctor for it for 12 months cause he still had an inhaler from before.  Then he ran out, went to the doctor, and found out his 12 months didn't start till he was "re-diagnosed" or something weird.  I don't remember the specifics, but it was weird.
  • OH! I JUST REMEMBERED A FLAME!

Snippy and someone on SB started morning threads with titles similar to "No morning thread yet?" It made me eye-rolly - just start it. Don't make it seem like you're saying "No thread yet? Seriously? I guess I have to do it for you." - I realize it's a stretch, but it's just kind of annoying to me.

I think people are far overreacting to Sesh's comments about food. I think it's something she talks about a lot, sure, but from what I gather, she is not starving.

And LDY, if you paid attention, you'd know that even Sesh points out that she doesn't have the best eating habits. She's said it before. So you lecturing her about adding chicken or vegetables to ramen probably isn't going to change anything.

I obviously didn't pay attention well. Thanks for pointing that out! I'm just saying that you can find cheap food options. From what I gathered from her posts she was complaining about not having food. Just reacting to what I had seen. Food's rather important. I didn't realize I was lecturing...I thought it was a suggestion.
  • Whether or not Sesh is starving, I think the moral of the story is that it gets old to listen to people complain about how much their life sucks all the time.

That asshat was trolling the schit out of Wedding Woes earlier in the week, but I think they finally just started ignoring him there.

And no, aguysview was the guy who thought his FI was cheating because his friend told him that he saw her having lunch with some dude and she told him she was with a female friend at the mall or something when she was supposedly at her secret dude lunch, so he chased her down a hallway to steal her cell phone.

Apparently he accused her of cheating and demanded to see her cell phone, and she said no and left the apartment, so he chased her out into the hallway and grabbed it from her.  I think he put a less horrific spin on it than that, but that's pretty much what I took away from it.

I just mean that I take "We dont buy food unless we have to" at face value. I also think Seshs family hunts?  (I could be confusing her with someone else tho).  But I think she has a freezer full of meat and stuff too.  So I took her comment about the potluck as her joking around that they dont spend money (or a lot of money) on their own food because they dont have to, so why would they spend money on a potluck.

But whatever.  People on these boards have WAY worse money problems that are off limits so I dont get the flame, unless its just that she talks about it too much, and Ill just agree to disagree on that point.
