Hey , I'm so sorry you r going thru this. Not seeing you on mother's day bc mother in law more important. Nonsense . Sounds like the gf is a chip off old block of mom. Sounds like sons gf is a well....brat. idk best advice other than talk to your soon about how you'd like to be with him more , or make plans to take walks, lunches , etc things that don't break the bank. Invite son and gf or if gf doesn't come just son. Start to do all you can to make effort to be with son away from this so he can make sure it's what he wants . You are his mother , you deserve to be held high

Re: Too early for evening thread? I don't care.
Angel - I'm really sorry you're having to deal with this. I'm here if you ever need to talk.
Snail - I think you acted incredibly strong tonight. It takes a lot to do that. I hope it all works out for the best.
I just get pissed off about the curse words on TK thing. This is a WEDDING forum. Most of the people on here are grown adults (all of them should be in my opinion, but I'm not going to launch into a teen wedding tirade) and as such, should be able to use whatever foul, indecent, an unladylike language we so choose.

Angel, I'm sorry your sister is a bitchface gutterslut.

Believe me, I don't honestly think a few f-bombs make a person any less a lady. I was speaking for what I imagine was their reasoning in censoring those words. I imagine that all the people who make these decisions think like kristin#s and drink mint juleps all day long. It's the abundance of mint juleps that causes the IT wonkiness, I tell ya.
I just feel like it's a major affront to the privacy of the kid. I've always thought similarly in reference to naked babies in TV commercials, before the advent of the internet. Like, nobody asked the kid if they wanted their private parts splashed all over the place. I'd feel really violated if I grew up and learned that photos like that of me were shared. And I'm especially disappointed in this person, I thought she was better than that.

H and I just had this conversation earlier this week. No naked pics. And really not a whole lot of regular pics for that matter. H said it's weird to document someone else's entire life on the internet for all to see. And I totally agreed with his point. I wouldn't want my whole life story, in pictures, broadcast all over. Just no.
Our conversation started because of H's friend's wife's (ha!) FB post. She's about 25 weeks and it was a weird shot from the the crotch up (never seen such a thing before). Anyway, the balls were on full display with a supposedly cute caption saying "Yup we're definitely having a boy!" This couple makes me sick.

<div>I bet after a few mint juleps Kristin#s drops some eff bombs too. Girl's got some hidden spunk.</div>
Angel, no clue. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll all realize how fucking fabulous we are, shape up, and stop being shitty assholes.
Snail, I would also have a long discussion about how money will be handled in the future (regarding shared financial obligations INCLUDING SAVING), and <strong>I think if he manages to get his shiiit together in the 30 days, that he should have another 30 days to show that he's capable of sticking to the shared financial obligation plan as well before you truly move forward with anything.</strong> Angel, I'm sorry your sister is a bitchface gutterslut.

I think this is probably a very reasonable plan. But it's also a very scary plan. I don't know if I can put off some of the planning stuff we have left for much beyond 30 days, and if we decide to postpone, I'm going to owe a lot of money to a lot of people... not to mention, FI hasn't told his mom what's going on yet, so I'm kind of having to still get some wedding stuff done that she's on me about during our hiatus.
J, that's exactly what she is. So many people with FI/H problems lately, is there something in the water?

<div>I think people are more open with them. Since the E board has gone "soft" it's also gotten more supportive.</div>
Mint juleps are awesome! I wouldn't mind drinking those all day. Muni, we should switch between mimoasas and mint juleps at the pool.

I thought the same thing.

Agreed. TK doesn't really have a marital issues board like TN does, so it defaults to the chatty threads.<div>
So many people drinking tonight. I, on the other hand, am having a bowl of cereal. I am the wild and crazy type.

<div>I was treading the thought of having a bowl of cereal with my glass of wine, and quickly nixed the idea. The wine won. </div>
Tracy, that is disgusting. Who thinks that is okay?!? Or "cute"?
Posted by midgetthemighty
Right? I really can't stand her updates. I've hidden her from my news feed so I can still go in when I need a good laugh. I mentioned this one before but she also announced the pregnancy at probably 2 weeks from our calculations. Profile pic was her holding the pee stick (still wet I'm sure) over her bare midriff, her hands doing that overdone heart thing. But it was inspired by Pinterest so I guess that makes it cute?
She also update every time she threw up. Every.single.time. Not even kidding.

<div>I consider myself a "new" wine drinker. I only used to drink beer, now mostly just wine. My "tastes" are still adjusting so i'm mostly white wine for now, starting to adjust to red. Random, I know.</div>
