Yesterday I tried to go shopping for dresses and ended up on my favorite road in town. Not so much anymore. Part of the day you'er allowed to park on the right lane. Well, I was there PAST THAT TIME and people were still parked. So everyone would be driving alone and all of a sudden have to get over. Happend to me. I'm trying to get over and it looks like this car is slowing down to le tme out. I pull out and then it looks like he speeds up, so I stop. We do this 2 more times. Then he starts honking at me. I wasn't even in his lane, he was just being a douchewad. So I lay on my horn and scream and curse at him at the top of my lungs. Then my blood pressure spiked and I got a migrane. The end.

Morning. I am reading through the aforementioned clusterfuck from last night.
I had a total rollercoaster of emotions last night because I got home from soccer and was having dinner at 11pm and pulled out my Kindle to charge it...and the screen was dead. It must have gotten squished because it looks like the ink ran over the top half of the screen. I seriously almost cried because it was my Christmas present from my dad, and I've had it for just over a month and love it, and I felt like I was the worst Kindle owner ever and would never be able to read a book again. Plus since H is gone, I was alone, and everything's worse alone.
Then Robert from Amazon told me they would send me a new one, and I've already found a friend to bring the new one to Chile next week and someone to take the old one to the US to be mailed back to Amazon.
WOW EMILY! That's some awesome service/luck right there! I'm amazed.

Ugh I hate that LVB. When people kinda sorta look like they are gonna let you in, but don't really make a clear decision. Then they act like YOU are the idiot.
I just really don't enjoy driving much. J tries to claim it is better in the country. It is NOT, there are just fewer people, so fewer drivers. Still really shiitty ones though.
I always look behind when I stop at light because I've been rear-ended before. That's how I saw this last accident coming before it happened. And people kept asking me "why did you look in your rearview?"...um, because I'm paranoid and apparently I had a reason to be.
Cfas, I called the landlord last night and she said she would call somebody. They are super lazy and this house sucks big balls, which is why we are moving in a month. The AC has had to be looked at every year when it gets hot because it was built in the stone age. I really feel bad for the new people moving in, especially because I know they have a baby, but I just really can't wait to get out.
I was blown away by Amazon's service. I obviously did not call and say "hello, I squished my Kindle, this is totally my fault, can I have another one please?" but I think that what I was describing was pretty obviously what happens when a screen receives some kind of pressure/impact. They never asked what happened, they just had me reset it, and when that didn't work they said they were so sorry, but they'd have to send me a new one.
I know what happened - put it under the seat of the scooter in the storage space there - but I was really surprised that there was damage. I eased the seat down gently to see if it would close easily, it's not like I slammed it shut, so I never thought it would have been too tight for the Kindle.
Waltzy I do the same thing. I watch the car behind me until they are completely stopped. I saw my accident before it happened too. I drive myself crazy doing it.
Good morning! I feel like today is going to be another craptastic day. FI is working in LVB's neck of the woods for yet another day, and I don't know when he's getting home. The dog (while adorable) is a total PITA at night when FI isn't here.
I went to the doctor yesterday to find out why my hands have been tingling and hurting. It turns out the passage where my ulnar nerve travels through my elbow is nearly swollen shut. The left is worse than the right, but they're both bad. I have to go through eight weeks of (expensive) physical therapy, and if that doesn't work, I have to get surgery.

There was a 70 car pile-up this winter on one of our major highways, and a couple we know were in it. They got rear ended 3 times in the same accident and absolutely no damage was done.
I'm pretty conscious of who's behind me. I hate being tailed, especially by small cars because I drive a truck, and if you ride my arss I will not be able to see you at all. I did rear end someone once. I got off the highway and the truck in front of me SLAMMED on their brakes (we were still going 100 km/h since we just got on the off ramp) and I mashed into them. It ripped apart my front end and did absolutely no damage to their truck. Another F-150 with a hitch reciever. I just hit the reciever, not the truck. ugh. that was fun. Some kid with her brother. I think it was her first time on the highway and she freaked getting off.

Morning everyone! Reading this thread makes me really happy I never drive. I can't drive in DC without risking a heart attack anyway.

Emily, did you have any kind of cover on your Kindle when this happened? When I get mine I plan on keeping it with me in my purse at all times, but now I'm scared about the screen getting smushed.
LVB, you know I have to take that road every morning for work? Well I don't have to, but 65 is too much craziness for my half asleep ass in the morning. Anyhoo, every once in awhile there will be cars parked in that right lane when they're not supposed to and cause a huge traffic jam. It takes every ounce of controls in me not to get out and either slash their tires or write a really mean note to put on their car. There were TONS of cars parked on the street for St. Pattys day and it pissed me off because only about 1/4 of them had tickets.
Emily I'm sorry. At least their customer service is awesome and you're getting a new one. That's really great.
I completely hear you on the emotional thing. Sometimes stuff happens and your emotions are already through the roof, that anything and everything just is a trigger.
Anna, I don't have a cover (I always had the Kindle in my purse), but I don't know how much that would have helped. I'm pretty sure the problem was the overall pressure of the scooter seat + me sitting on top of it + other stuff in the storage space that all just added together to squish my purse and its contents, so unless the cover were really hard I think the problem would have been the same.
Oh man... there is a girl on my month that posted a bridesmaid rant. She doesn't like her cousin's hair colour (blond w/roots) and asked her to dye it for the wedding and then said she could dye it back to blond after. Thanks? Biitch. Holy man. How does someone think it's okay? Her Fl even said to tell her if she doesn't dye it brown that she can't be in pictures.

Yep, mr stack thinks I'm a paranoid driver. I'm much better in my new car though since it's so much bigger than my old little cavy coupe.
That's funny LVB. I'm good for cursing someone out.

Emily that is so awesome about your Kindle. I don't have one but have been slooooowly considering one.

I'm now sitting in class discussing a case dealing with flagpole sitting. Mildly entertaining.
But I am for sure going to baby the next one!

If anyone ever told me to dye my hair for their wedding pictures, I'd tell them where they could stuff their hair dye.
