I actually have a pretty busy day on tap. I have to make sugar cookies & ice them, prepare the food we were going to have for Christmas dinner on Sunday since we will like be out of town for H's job, and make a casserole to take to the friends house we are going to tomorrow afternoon for dinner. And then I have to make spinach lasagna tonight before we go to midnight Mass. Needless, to say I am going to feel like Betty Crocker Homemaker all day today.
I'm back! I had to take the dog out for a snowy walk. We ran into a Bernese Mountain Dog. Holy crap, I want him. He was HUGE!! 50kilos! The owner said he was SMALL for his breed!! EEK!
Zucca was uninterested in playing with him because she's maaaaayyybe 12 kilos. lol
Now, I'm thinking of going to make some mulled wine and monkey bread for the evening. Nomnomnom.
Hey there Snipster and eveverybody else! I'm drinking coffee, trying to be quiet because my mom and my brother are still asleep on the sofas in the living room. I'm not doing squat today, except haning out with them and H and I'm really glad about it.
Other than baking & cooking and going to church tonight, we aren't doing anything. But all that time in the kitchen is enough for me.
H still has to go shopping for my presents bc this was hell for him. I told him not to worry about it but he insists on going out. I hope I get a bit of relaxation time in between all the cooking and church.
CN: This girl posted last week on CC about her FI not talking to her because during a night of drinking she called the cops on him and he got arrested. He choked her and left finger marks on her neck and she's upset now that she wasn't invited to his family christmas and his uncle cursed her out when she tried calling to wish them happy holidays. I XP'd on SB & WP because I didn't have a whole lot more advice than she was already given last week.

See that dog? He's a doctor.
I want some of your mulled wine. The winery where we were having our wedding makes this amazing spiced apple wine that I wanted for Christmas, but I haven't been able to find time all week to drive down there to pick up wine and pies. Now I'm stuck with whatever I can find at BJs on my lunch break. How do you make mulled wine?
Mel you crack me up and I'd love to keep you in my pocket. We used to say that to a cowrker of ours that was always so positive or would say the silliest things. If we could keep her (or in this case you) in our pocket we could be constantly entertained.

This is what Pig wears on interviews.

I tried to put Hasselhoff in Todd's swimsuit, but he doesn't tolerate crippling humiliation as well as Pig.

Ha! We had pictures of her doing that once. . it was genius! If I find them, I'll post. She's snoopy that's for sure. LOVES climbing on desks, and ruffling through boxes. She'd either be a detective OR the mastermind in the crime (of course, she'd have others do the work because she's gangster like that).
-note- just took her to the dog hotel. . I LOVE how she just ignores me when we get there. It's like I have a kid that doesnt want hugs in front of their friends. Granted, she did just make like 50 new friends to play with over the weekend.

Hey all who is here! Merry Christmas eve I went out early this morning to do what felt like my 20th Target stop in the last 3 days. It was nice no one was out early.
Honestly, what's with CC? The most messed up things I read about all come from that board. Is it where all the would-be weddingwire/future TN/TB people go?
Last night, my homemade whipped cream got funky, so I just put the cake away half decorated. I got up, made more and finished it. The green bean casserole is prepped, just needs to bake. I'm boiling sweet potatoes as we speak, then prepping the sweet potato casserole. That leaves mac and cheese, lima beans, maple glazed carrots and mashed potatoes to make. Then pecan pie and black forest cake for dessert. I'm pretty excited. I have to clean the bathroom still and kinda touch up the kitchen before the big cooking gets under way. Also waiting on the snow to get here!!!
Oh, and monkey bread in the morning. I've never made it, but H has had it every Christmas morning of his life, so I have to get it right.
