Maybe I assumed wrong, but when you said I shouldnt be broadcasting it yet, you were referring to the high miscarrage rate in early pregnancy. Usually when people don't talk about their pregnancy in the early stages, its because they worry about losing the pregnancy.

Sooo, you're used to this board's "insensitivity", but you came over here after a long absence to say "OH HAI EVERYONE, I'M PREGNANT!"  I agree that you were kinda dipping a toe in to see if you'd get a reaction- you always loved drama.

Annnyway, hope your life gets less hectic, Salty, we need you around here :)

That's what I thought...I was always told that you don't announce it to anyone until you are in your third month or something like that since the risk is so high for miscarriage in the first couple months (for everyone).

I understand the chances of miscarrage. I don't think people should tell me not to talk about it. Especially since I've been on the bump, I've been talking about my pregnancy before I was pregnant.

I agree with this.  A girl at work told us all she was pregnant at 7 weeks.  At 10 she lost the baby.  The next month of people asking and her explaining was a disaster.

I had two choices of a post to quote.  I chose the first and then ignored it because it was just TOO morbid and went with this one.

So when u call up that shrink in Beverly Hills
U know the one - Dr Everything'll Be Alright
Instead of asking him how much of your time is left
Ask him how much of your mind, baby.

Indeed.  How much of your mind IS left?

I love Prince more than enything.  If it was 1984 I would totally have a Purple Rain themed wedding.  I would make Mark wear the ruffled shirt with the purple jacket.  I would do the big Apollonia hair.  It would be all shades of purple awesome.

Most people wait until the end of the first trimester.

This isn't all about you. I have a friend from high school who announced her pregnancy on FB at three weeks and I judged that. (I don't even know how one knows they are pregnant at 3 weeks.)

And don't go around pretending to be a victim and crying that we're wishing a miscarriage on you. That's so far from what anyone said that it's actually crazy.
