She never really addressed the whole carnival/fair/circus vision and all that happened as a result was I wanted carnival food.

  • I've seen some pretty sweet carnival themed weddings. Our DOC actually helped design one that was featured in a few magazines. (Clicky) Done correctly, it can look amazing. Somehow I doubt that OP's would have fallen into classy or elegant territory.
  • I think lunch with Knotties would be great! I confess I'm slightly jealous of all the GTGs happening. :)

FI always gives me weird looks when I mention things but then he just laughs at me.

  • I want to go on a ferris wheel.
  • Jill, that wedding is adorable! I love the bride's hat/veil!
  • Jill, the wedding you linked to is GORGEOUS. I love the signage!

I want a giraffe pretty bad. We'll see.

They're smart animals so I bet you could potty train him.

    Nice work!

And Erin, you can have Ell if the Giants make it further than the Patriots in the playoffs. It is about to get competitive in here.

  • My cousin was convinced that mini giraffes were real after seeing that commercial and then Googling it. But she is really silly.

  • I love the elephant story.  We (me and my kids when they were young) got a front row seat at the Zoo in Washington, DC to see the 3 day old elephant when they gave him water for bathing for the first time.  We were sitting on a bench resting when the zookeeper approached us and told us to get up and move to this door that was closed.  He said it would open in a few minutes and we would be first to see the new baby.  The kids still talk about it.  Good stuff.  I will have to dig those pictures out for you.

And petals, are you any where near Ft Myers Beach?  I am headed there next Thursday.  And giraffes are one of my favorites too.  They are so cute!
  • another cute kid story, my son once convinced my daughter that she could save her tootsie pop wrappers and turn them in for a live kangeroo!  Crazy kids.

And edie, you handled yourself so well.  That girl was BSCC!
  • When I was younger I watched a movie on repeat where a little girl found a seal and kept it. I can't remember the name of the movie but I've wanted a seal ever since.
  • Stop teasing me with elephants! I want to eventually get an elephant tattoo. Which is silly, cause they don't even round out my top three favorite animals (polar bears, dinosaurs and unicorns- not in that order). But I have horseshoe tatttoos, a polar bear tattoo and I am workin on a dinosaur sidepiece. Maybe not that strange after all.

    Andre!
Love that movie. I think it was based on a true story.

Otters in a bathtub sounds pretty doable. I met a muskrat while kayaking this summer. I wanted to catch it and keep it.

furbabymomma?  Just Kidding, totally!  I really am kididng Nick, I like you.  I was going to ask for locations of your tatoos, especially the horseshoes.  I am so gullible.
  • Edie is right about the tattoo. At the very least, you'll have a visual that you and the artist could tweak until it was perfect.
  • I got my first tattoo this October at 46 years of age.

  • I've seen a black panther tattoo before. It didn't look like a black blob. Whoever he had do it did a lot of good shadowing. I like that you're thinking about it a lot though. It would really suck to go ahead and get one and then regret it.
  • I've always wanted a hummingbird. I love hummers.

very cool edie, what was your second?  I am still having thoughts as to what to get for my second.  I am thinking snowman.
  • I don't know where I would want my little bird tattoo. I always think about it and all I know is that I want it somewhere kind of private. (Not like private parts, just hidden.)
  • I would love to get baby feet and E's name as a tattoo somewhere. I'm just to chicken to get a tattoo.

  • I am watching desert elephants on Animal Planet while looking for pictures to post of the tattoos, I am a sucker to AW them whenever.

Polar Bear on the world: It is very cutesy, which was the point since it is a very serious deal that they might not be here in 40 or 50 years.

Dinosaurs: Not finished, this is from last summer. My armpits were shaved, and that is a treat for all of you!

Horse shoes: There are seven of them. On my right butt cheek. Sorry, this is all you get:

Yeah, we need pics Holly! I love to see these pics.

    ETA: Edie too!
  • I am too. I have two, both on my wrists so I could read them daily. I thought about each one for months/years before getting them and their meanings will always be important to me.
