• mixtape, I say that ALL the time. And whenever we're on a road trip I have to pretend to run and say "It feels like I'm running at an incredible rate of speed!"
Yeah, LDY, you do. And I'm writing the St. Johns County school board to tell them about this gaping hole in their curriculum.

Oh, we read it for school, and we even watched the movie. But that doesn't mean I read the book or stayed awake for the movie.

Ohhh haha yeah! Allison Janney. God I love her too.

• Out of all of the books I was forced to read growing up, To Kill a Mockingbird was the least bit paintful, if not enjoyable!

Sorry LDY, I kind of judge you for that. :) In a loving way of course.
• Ldy- Bahaha. You're adorable. I would try reading it again and staying awake -It's so good!!

Kiki- AWESOME. My brother and I have a routine where one of us shouts "MOCK", and the other responds with "YEAH" and we sing the whole song. Other people don't think it's as hilarious as we do. Also, when Harry strangles Lloyd because he had on two pairs of gloves, and Lloys says through chokes, "Harry! Your hands are freezing!" I die every time.
• Judge away. I NEVER read the books I was supposed to in school. Ever. It was sad. TR and Anna made me read the Giver and it's one of my favorites now. I'm sure i'll happen with TKaM too. As soon as I finish this book I'm reading *junky chick lit, judge away* then I'll read it and report back.
• I probably shouldn't judge. I just have my bitchy pants on today.

I don't judge reading chick lit. It's sometimes good to have a break in mental toughness. I DID accidentally read a harlequin once and that was a surprise!
Rosie -- Are you coming to the DC GTG?! Any Knottie who runs -- do you have shoes you recommend? I'm getting new running shoes this weekend and I haven't bought a pair in over 10 years.
Posted by cfaszews25
Cfas, not sure if anyone has answered this yet because I haven't read the whole thread, but I definitely recommend you go to a store specifically for running. The people there, if trained properly, should watch you walk in socks and be able to recommend a shoe based on your stride. That is the best advice I can give anyone who really wants to start running. It is such an individual process I hesistate recommending something w/o seeing you walk.
• I recall really liking To Kill a Mockingbird. I think I read it in middle school, so my memory is just a weeee bit fuzzy.

Cfas - ordered, Dark Empire & Union, where youre beloved Luke gets hitched.
image
• This book is called "Alibi in High Heels" - part of a series by Gemma Halliday (SaraBear started me on them) and she's a shoe designer who is always around when people get murdered and stuff and she tries to play detective - BUT - she's DATING a hot detective *insert fun music here* so shenanigans insue b/c he doesn't like her poking her nose in the cases.

Total trash, but I kinda love it (thus why I'm on the 4th book)
• LDY, I'm currently reading a YA novel called "Vixen" about flappers in Chicago in the 20s. So yeah, no judgement here.
• I honestly don't think I read To Kill a Mockingbird until college, when I read it for fun. My high school English curriculum was seriously lacking. I haven't read a lot of the common books that most people had to read in high school.

Actually, I got made fun of for reading "hard" stuff in high school for the fun of it.
• No judgement, Ldy- my favourite series other than HP is The Southern Vampire Series- The ones True Blood is based off. I love them. Mystery + Fantasy + girly-ness= My kind of commuting read.
• Whoa, I'm way far behind.

Rosie, I think we have similar swimsuits. Is yours from Lands End? The pattern looks like one of mine.

For amusement parks - Roller Coasters. Always. I get sick on the spinny rides these days.
• I like when knotties rec books because so many of you are so effing smart. You read good stuff and I like it. Plus I can talk to someone about it!

Well since it's black and white and from the shoulders up, I can't tell if we're swimsuit twins or not. But yay! That's all! Oh yeah, and I don't go to Ocean City, MD, but I go to the beaches at Delaware all the time. It's like we're the same! :D

I'm telling you, I can't thank LVB enough for mentioning the TN Book Club back in December. It kicked my reading into high-gear and I have read so many awesome books since then!

Mine is orange!

I hope we can actually get to the beach this summer. We only went once last year and it started raining as soon as we got there. We normally just go to one of the state parks and not Ocean City though!

H and I really want to use the name "Saoirse" for a girl as a middle name (not a first name). It's pronounced SEER-sha, and I love it. I know we're going to get some side-eye from our families though, when and if the time comes.
