  • Bay, cheese is banging.  i think i'm having wine and cheese for dinner. I might see if I can find some crackers to make it a meal.
  • Wine and cheese is already a meal, Muni.

    I'm thinking -

    Please Save The Date
    May 4, 2013
    John & Steph
Will be married in Cherryville, NC
    formal invitation to follow

We are embossing a little tree with two birds onto the STDs and fancying them up. There are some advantages to marrying a graphic designer. Between us I think we have the physical print covered. Once we figure out what to say!

Aryn, I suggested Vista Print. I'm not sure they actually sell those, but you could make them, I think. ETA, like customize something on the site, not make them by hand.

Personally, I'd drop the "will be married in". That's implied. Most STDs just list the couple, the date, the location (city/state), and "formal invitation to follow". They're meant to be short, sweet, and to the point.<div>
    </div><div>Kind of like a fancy post-it note.</div>
  • And we didn't send STD's.  We're old school like that.

<div>See, that takes effort.  And H isn't here to do it...he's the cook person around here. That's why half of the time I eat cereal and beer or wine and cheese for dinner and the rest of the time I eat actual meals.</div>

Wrigley, I was thinking the same thing.

You could technically just put your names, a picture, and the date and it qualifies as a STD.  Putting the location is nice, but if it's not a destination wedding, most people have a vague idea where it's going to be held.

Can I send them out on post its? That would be so cute and so me There's postits on my PC at work, my company laptop, my dash, my fridge, the bathroom mirror (they don't stick well there due to the humidity, I finally went to grease pencil and write on my mirror itself) to remind me of things. I'm pathetic... (In my defense I work at least 70 hours, many weeks more, and some weeks much more, so I am kooky with reason!)

Thanks for the tip, I'll remove the Will be married in.

  • What else can you put Nutella on besides bread?  I'm tempted to eat it straight out of the jar.

(Works out, eats Nutella right out of the jar.  Seems legit)

We have family from all over and two residences spread across NC, so I think it would be nice for people to know they need to fly into Charlotte vs Raleigh, if they're coming.

I'm handwritting them in calligraphy and we're playing with paper, overlays, and embossing some stamps/letters on them, so I don't want to go with photos.

Our photos we had done last year are on my FB - Stephanie Caldwell in Pinnacle or Charlotte, I can't link it from work though. We could have them printed with one of those photos. Would love to do more photos now, I'm 40lbs lighter.
