Re: Confessions

• Yeah, we went to see the Backstreet Boys my senior year of high school (1999).  It was great!  We started the wave, 'cause we're cool like that.
Have we done this recently? You people who failed your driving tests are making me nervous. My really embarassing confession?  I liked the musical episode of Grey's Anatomy (except for the happy song where all the couples danced).  I cried through almost the whole thing.  Especially the last song.
Posted by FutureMrsTR
<div>I liked it too.  And I cried too, pretty much the entire time.  In fact, I cry through most of every episode of Grey's.  I also freaked out so bad during the gunman episodes that I had to turn them off to catch my breath and then go back.</div><div>
</div><div>I've also cried watching Glee and Secret Life of the American Teenager.  Yeah, you know, when Ricky told Amy he loved her?  Major waterworks.</div>
• LDY-yeah that would totally bother me too. Especially if she gets so defensive about the relationship. That's an icky situation. I think if I were her I would be bothered if his family pushed him to propose and not himself. You're in a tough spot. That sucks :(

• MP - you graduated in 1999!? I thought you were super young for some reason...like 22. Not that 1999 is old, I just literally thought you were like 22. And definitely not older than me. You're hot, lady.
• I confess I'm really happy for a friend who just won in court against his ex girlfriend. And I love the dude and want to hang out with him and see him at least weekly but... I don't want to piss off or completely break ties with his ex girlfriend. Even though I don't really like her that much, she's proven she can make your life a living hell and I DO run into her occassionally. So I don't want her to know I'm totally on her ex's side... or that I wrote a letter which may have helped him win his court case.
For some reason I posted this first in the wrong thread. Ignore me. When I was a kid, my parents were looking at houses and I went along. Well. I had to potty and we were in a model house, so I figured if there's a toilet, it'll flush, right? Yeah, guess not. I whispered to my dad that I had gone potty in a potty that didn't flush and told him it wasnt just pee. He got the realtor to show us another house immediately b/c the one we were in just didn't "feel" right. He never fessed up.

I confess that I get the urge to lightly tap bikers or motorcyclists with my bumper when they don't wear helmets just for the pure reason that they are being idiots for not wearing helmets. I want them to learn their lesson, to the extent that they fall over and get a scrape or two but not like, die or anything. Which I of course would never actually do but it goes through my head and makes me kinda feel like a terrible person.
I've been beating myself up since our meeting with Children's hospital. I know I have no right to be because I am learning and so is he. It's just the way that the feeding specialist addresed his feeding it made me feel like a failure. I finally broke through to post on the couple cleft lip and palate forums. In the 12 hours since I posted I have gotten so much support from people that understand what we are going through that I don't know why I hesitated posting there in the first place.
Posted by Ciaram22
Ciara I didn't even realize he had a cleft lip/palate.  If you don't mind my asking, how severe is it? I'm so glad that you have found a place of support and understanding for this. I can imagine that it can feel very isolating and scary to be dealing with something like that. What is his prognosis?

(If this is me being too nosey feel free to tell me to kindly stfu!)

My confession: I haven't done anything at work all week. Half the office is working crazy hours getting ready for E3 and the other half, including me, are sort of just floating along and testing or fixing small bugs but not busy at all. It's a very weird atmosphere because I almost feel guilty that some people are working overtime and weekends right now and I'm fucking around without a lot to do.

• Musical-South Carolina doesn't have a helmet law for motorcycles and for the life of me I cannot figure out why people think it's a good idea to not wear a helmet.

Says the girl who was on a regular bike when she was 12 w/o a helmet and got hit by a pick up truck.

Also-I realized that through these posts today I sound like the clumsiest person EVER!

Oh definitely not 22!  Gosh I wish!  Why can't I repeat my senior year of college!?!  (except with Matt there, too!)

Um, I LOVE Pretty Little Liars. LOVE. I was so disappointed when the season finale was over, b/c I didn't realize it was the season finale until a week later and there were no new episodes online.  H makes fun of me a lot for watching that show though.

But, he does watch Desperate Housewives with me :)
• I was a junior in high school in 1999. But the Backstreet Boys and NSync were really popular when I was in high school.
• I'm really excited to go to Buenos Aires tonight, but I'm really sad that I'm missing my soccer game. It's the one game that we're likely to actually win, and I hate that I won't be here for it. And my confession is that while most of me hopes the team wins even if I can't participate in that, there is definitely part of me that hopes they don't so that our first win can be when I'm here. In part because I am the best person on the team and feel like I deserve to be a part of any and all winning, which is also a confessable thing to think.

This is mine, too.  I am flying up to Calgary tonight and driving home to Phoenix with my H over the weekend.  It will be the first time in our almost four-year relationship that we will have lived in the same country, let alone in the same house.  I'm excited and terrified at the same time.

But you were still born in the 80's right?

I confess, that I have issues with people born after 1990.  Like, it doesn't make sense to me as a birth year.

*blushes* Thanks! I get that a lot--I think because I hung out with adults for most of my very young life, and went through that whole typical "oldest child" syndrome with being really independent, etc. The funny thing is, I actually went to kindergarten when I was 4, so I've always been younger than my peers. But I always feel at least a year older because everyone else always was a year ahead.

• Babestate, c'mon now. I put TTC on hold so I could go to Disney one more time. Totally valid.
• In GA, motorcyclists are required to wear helmets. I find it weird since so many people here (we are on the border with SC) travel back and forth for work or whatever. But I guess different state, different laws.

Yes, in 1988. The 90s seem like weird birth years to me too.

GGirl-- That is really weird that they don't have a law for it. My dad used to have a motorcycle in his early 20s and got in a crash in which if he hadn't been wearing a helmet, he would have been dead instantly. I know plenty of other people who have had relatives with serious injuries from not wearing helmets. I guess its just a touchy subject for me, so when I see it, I get really bent out of shape.
Uhhh my failing of the learners permit test was purly pen and paper issues. Once I got on the road I was good :) Ok I know this is crazy, I called the cake place about ordering FI's grooms cake. He wanted a black lab. The lady said that if we wanted a 3d version it was going to be hefty, over $500. At first I was all "oh thats fine" but then when she told me how much it would cost to get a sheet cake with a black lab design ($65) I said no way. I feel terrible I didn't get him his 3d cake though. Like I am seriously debating calling her back and changing my order.
