[QUOTE]I blush when I am embarrassed. It was not good. That was after he had us confirm that we are indeed fornicators, since we live together. I really do like my priest, but I am rather private in regards to that sort of thing. This is also the priest who quotes Ginsburg during one of his first homilies at our church.

    I LOVE Ginsburg.

After Vatican II a lot changed and made the church much more, uh, user-friendly and modern. My grandparents couldn't have a full mass in 1940 because my grandfather wasn't Catholic, but they were still married by a priest. My grandfather never converted, although my dad and aunt were raised Catholic (though quit practicing a long, long time ago).

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: FFF : you used to have to get a blood test in order to get married. If you had conflicting blood types then you couldnt have kids (apparently the fathers blood type would attack the fetus? I'm sure theres a better explanation but my doctor told me about it the other week when I asked). So now there is a shot you get when you get pregnant and it protects the fetus from the blood type attacking it or something crazy like that.

I don't know if someone already answered this, but it only matters if the mom is - and the dad is + (you know, like O- and O+) .  Complications are usually later in pregnancy and delivery, but it's easily fixed with a rhogam injection.

I think so too.  Plus I was the one that kind of went round and round with kk about her spelling and a post I said she made that she denied until I found a link, and even with all of that the AE didn't say anything negative about me.  Although that could be just because I'm the Mod and they were afraid to insult me, who knows.

I agree.  I actually really doubt it was kk.
  • Meh, I'll play.  I get tired of seeing Lynda's weekly "KUI, anyone else?" threads.  It really does feel like it is every single week, and I think it's lame.
  • It seems that every so often a lurker will come around and insult people, and then pick one random person to defend. KK seems to defend herself just fine; she may not be the most eloquent writer, but she obviosuly isn't hurt enough by people's comments to try to remedy her spelling issues.

There was a really sad newb KUI the other night. Sad because I'm pretty sure she was faking to try to fit in. Like the misspellings were too over the top and carefully placed, and every time someone called her on it, her next post would be perfect and coherent. I wish I could remember who it was.
