Good Evening?

Re: Good Evening?

  • We're thinking blue.  But we'll be thrilled either way.

Boy name is Kane Matthew.  Pretty sure we finally decided girl name is Ariana Rose.

  • Those are both really awesome names, :) I looooove the name Ariana like crazy. I think "Ari" as a nickname is super cute. Is your niece super excited to have a baby cousin? :)

  • Love those names Fezz!

  • Well this is going slow for me tonight!

Kalpi, you totally should be Winnie. I would be excited for an Asian Kevin Arnold tbh.

    Fezz that is so exciting!

  • J and I have boy names picked if we happen to have 2 boys some day. But girl names we will never agree on, haha.

  • Gabby is super excited.  She tells me she wants a girl, of course.  She also asks every time she sees me if the baby is coming today.  3 year olds are funny.

  • Musu, girl names were a problem for us too.  We both have very different tastes.

  • We couldn't agree on a girl name either. We had some tentative ones but each of us had something that we didn't like about them so they were never really set in stone.

Aw that is so so cute. :) I always wanted my brothers to be girls too, when my mom was pregnant. For my 2nd brother (the youngest), my mom and dad took me into my room on my birthday to tell me that it was a boy. We had a TON of family out in the living room over for my birthday (I was just turning 7). They wanted me to go out and make the announcement to everyone.

So me being the little pill that I was, went out, stood on top of the piano bench and shouted, "ITS A GIRL!!!!"

Haha my parents just slapped their foreheads and laughed.

  • We struggle with girl names too. My dad's name is a little weird, but shortens to Will. It's a family name, so our first son (if we have one) will be Will. It sounds super good with our last name too, which worked well! The only thing H and I have agreed on is that we like traditional name spellings.
  • We have our boy and girl names picked out and back up boy and girl names for if we end up with 2 boys or 2 girls. I'd be so sad if we couldn't have one of each but I know I'd get over it the minute I get to meet the cute little baby, boy or girl. Love those names, Fezz.
  • That's too funny, Musu.  I love how there's no filter when we're younger.  Stuff just comes out.

Haha I know! Well I mean I was 7 so I think I was trying to be sneaky. haha. I really really wanted it to be a girl so I think I was a little mad since I already had a brother, lol. My parents thought it was pretty funny though.

Fezz, Ariana is so pretty. I went to high school with a girl named Ariana and she pronounced it "ahh-dee-ahhna." I wasn't never sure if that was because her mom was from Mexico or if that's just how they pronounced it. I think Ari for short is adorable.

ETA: They called Ariana "ah-dee" for short and I always liked the name, pronounced either way.

I like Elaina.  How do you pronounce Tecia?

ETA: Nevermind. :)    I like that.  It's different.

  • One of my friends from HS is named "Elena". Pronounced "El-en-ah" instead of "El-ayn-ah". It was different, I really liked it. She always went by Ellie though.

  • I love the name Ellie! We have a niece named Ella and I am jealous that my SIL "stole" the name. It's really cute. All the girls in their family have names that sound good with our tricky last name.
  • J's whole family is composed of rather traditional and 'older' names, and I grew up with my name which is somewhat 'different', and my brothers have more rare names, in the US anyway, as well. So of course we both prefer what we grew up with, hah.

For you, Oreo, I'll make Indian Winnie Cooper and Asian Kevin Arnold happen.

Thanks, MK! I saw and responded to your very sweet message in my page thread for you. I appreciate all the short hair love :)

One of our back up names that I love for a girl means "rain" in Hindi. I can't decide if that's cool or if that would piss off a future daughter haha.
