FI and I have already talked about baby names too. I'm sure we will change our minds when the time actually comes.

It seems that everyone around me is having girls at the moment. I like buying baby girl clothes better than boy clothes.

I love Genevive. And Evangeline. And Sebastian. Sometimes I think I should have a kid just to give him/her a super awesome name. But then I remember I have to take care of it for 18 years and decide that my super awesome names will just be book characters instead.

I tell H all the time that I have magic powers. He thinks I'm joking but I'm not. Things like that happen all the time, I just get thoughts in my head that end up right. Or sometimes dreams. But now he is starting to believe me with mom's story and fezz's name. And because earlier he started to ask a question and got as far as "how do I" before I finished the question for him and I think he got a little scared because I can see inside his brain.

Also, when I imagine myself in a movie or in Narnia or some other daydream place, my name is Arianna. I love that name.

. I like Sebastian too. Since my friend Mikee was killed in a car accident when I was in college (we lived next door since I was 6, I barely remember my life before he was a part of it) I always figured I'd name a boy Michael, but that's H's abusive alcoholic dad's name, so I'm pretty sure I will not win that one. But maybe I can squeeze a Jacob in there (Mikee's middle name).

I always pick names that I love for characters in the short stories that I write, Sesh. I have to be careful though because I can't choose a name I'd want for a kid and then give it to a character who's kind of a jerk. Then I wouldn't be able to name a future baby that.

kalpi, my favorite names I save for the best characters, which means that many of them are not yet created because I haven't come up with the characters who do them justice. Hell, it took a good 8 years to come up with a story and character for Whisper.

But one of my favorite names, well I ended up killing that character even though I didn't want too. It made me super sad to see him go.

Oh no, you had to kill off a character with a name you liked? That sucks. I guess like you said you won't have the problem with it affecting how you'd name kids if you don't want kids but still-- once you write about a character long enough, they really start to become real people to you. I still get sad about the fate of some of my characters because I feel like I didn't choose it for them, it really was what had to happen to them even if I loved them.

I kill a lot of poeople in my books. My mom says she refuses to get attached to people because you never know who will die next. hell, the one I'm writing now is all about a dead person, ha. The one I killed off before, there was no other way to write it, and it just worked perfectly. However, for the book I'm writing next I don't have the heart to kill a character who has been in the other books in the series, so maybe I'll just make him get seriously injured or something. but you're right, you do get attached. my characters are like my best friends and an extension of myself all in one. I talk to them all the time.

adamar, Whisky does that too and it freaks me out. He just stares at the air and starts to howl these long, loud, drawn-out howls like something is scaring the siit out of him.

The case was about a step grandpa that molested his 10 or 11 year old grand daughter. The delay was because they couldn't locate the girls mother to testify and had to arrest her to get her into court. The mothers testimony solidified our guilty verdict.
