Super Duper Early Evening thread

Re: Super Duper Early Evening thread

• Flirty Boy called me as soon as he left work to talk to me on his way home. He didn't even realize the 'aw' of that action which is so funny to me. He might actually be more than just a flirty boy after all.

G'night Lizzie!
• Edie - are you still here? Yaga didn't GBCK. Someone she knows found her on TK and started a bunch of crap, so she asked Liv to ban her (Yaga) so her entire post history would disappear.

<div>You are pretty much listing all the movies I really dislike. I think we should make it a rule to not watch American movies on our Europe trip. </div>

I have a pretty strong feeling about an AE on NEY, but it's hard to tell because none of the posts have been very personal. She might be doing that on purpose, though. She also isn't on very often.

I have a weird urge to watch Homeward Bound, even though the scene where Shadow limps over the hill gets me into a puddle of tears every time.

• Aw, Erin, you're sweet. :)

Glo, I had to remind myself who you are because you changed your sig. I was like, "Who is this per---oh, right! I remember."

• Night, Edie!

I loved Homeward Bound as a kid. I watched it all the time at my grandma's house.
Midge, when you take a cold beer (can or bottle), let it warm to room temp, and re-refrigerate or put it back in the cooler, it gets "Skunked" - tastes like ass, basically.  We had a bottle of champagne in our suite Friday night on ice, but we crashed and didn't open it, so it was warm next morning and we brought it home and put it in the fridge on the off chance that wouldn't ruin it.

<div>Good to know. I don't drink much beer but I like some and H drinks it so I need to make sure that doesn't happen. Now that I know what it means, I'm pretty such champagne doesn't do that. At least the only time a bottle of champagne has followed that pattern in my presence, it didn't taste bad afterwards.</div><div>
</div><div>With that being said, I'm off to bed. G'night.</div>

• You guys go to bed super early.
• THE CANDLES ARE DONE!

Except we have a ton more people than we thought, we may need more. But I'm a pro at it now, thanks to J's awesome suggestion to use glue dots. Which are the best thing EVER. You could build a house with those things.

What'd I miss?

• I think unless it got seriously hot Eags it would be fine.  Higher heats and "turn" wine, but room temp should be fine.

Ha! I was just thinking that, even adjusting for the time zone. Then I realized some people get up at 5:00 and other crazy morning hours.

<div>Apparently, lol. I went to bed at 10:30 last night, and that was super early. </div>
• Homeward Bound made me cry too :).

I was thinking that too Any.  Although, it is almost 10 on the east coast.
AB, I must have missed the original story about FB.  How did you meet him?
Posted by crfb87
<div>We went to highschool together. I was actually his cheerleader when he was on the football team. The cheerleaders were assigned a couple of players to make signs for and what not. </div>
• I was also thinking that everyone is going to bed early, and then I remembered that everyone isn't on summer vacation.
I want a summer vacation.  But I do not want to spend 9 months in a classroom full of children to earn that summer vacation, either.  I want work to just, ya know, give it to me.

• Guys, I just have to get through three more days of work. Then vacatioooooon. I can't wait.
• i2i Holly.
• The island idea is good, J. Will you allow people to come visit? IF they bring beer?

I am just kind of meh on WF. I do really love the movie Elf, though. And think he's super funny being the Spartan cheerleader on SNL.

DinoGlo, I think Flirty Boy likes you. Kind of maybe a lot. ; )

Champagne sounds good. I think all we have is some chardonnay and maybe some pinto grigio though. Those just won't do when you've got bubbly on the brain.

• Yay!  I'm glad the glue dots worked, Willy.

Movies with talking animals is one of my hugest movie pet peeves.

J, are you still here?  If so, I want to join the island.  I have beer, wine, and a husband who cooks and brews beer.  Is my application approved?

eta:  jinx.
• I wouldn't work the schedule I do if I didn't love my job, that's for sure. There's no way that if I hated my job I could put up with the things I put up with in the classroom.

However, having holidays off and summer vacation is amazing.

H gets 4/10s in the summer and wishes it was like that all year. To me, that seems more efficient.
• I thought about homeward bound when you got Shadow, holly, but didnt know if that's how he got his name. That's awesome! Such a sweet movie. This is my last official school summer vacation but it was the least relaxing of any summer vacation that I have had, since I worked full time and took 6 credits of classes. Not like next summer will be any better since I'll spend the majority of it studying for the bar. Ick.

• I'd let people come visit whenever they want (no beer, blech), as long as they didn't annoy the shiiit out of me.  If they annoyed me on their visit, I'd put them on a piece of driftwood and push them out into sea while they were sleeping.

• J, I hate movies with animals that ACTUALLY move their mouths with cgi or whatever. But c'mon, homeward bound is a classic.

• Are you going home for a visit Any or somewhere else?
