I dont think FI realizes how long 9 hours of Batman is going to be. But he is so excited that I feel bad telling him that he is going to have a hard time sitting still for that long. He's got his Joker shirt ready to go and everything. And while he watches Batman, I get to clean the house because his cousin is visiting.
Habs, I hope kitty is okay. When Cheyenne had her dental work, she hated the e-collar so much that once I would put it on her she would just sit there and not move. I hope she heals well and quickly.
Hockey, good thoughts to you and your mom. It is great you are going with her. I went down this path myself about three years ago and was so appreciative that I had loved ones around to talk/lean on.
Habs, Lucy's spay surgery cost $1000 and it looked like a 4 year old stitched her back up. It's healed perfectly now and you can't even see the line. She'll be okay! Just give her lot's of extra snuggles.

thanks. It is tough, because usually she tries to hide things from us. I only found out because her and my dad both had medical issues in the beginning of the month. The first time she had cancer she wouldn't let us do anything, she relied totally on her sisters.
My MIL had breast cancer last year. She is a widow with hardly any family, (and while I love her, she isn't as she puts it "book smart") so I was the one who took her to all her appointments and talked with her doctors and surgeons about everything.
I really just want a year with no medical issues in the family :(

Good morning! I'm working on day 5 of the hotel, the 7-3 shift. Which makes me whiny but good practice for getting back up next week. I don't know how people can afford to work here as their only job, I'll only get $300 for the whole week!
hugs to all the kitties and family members and whatnot today!
Midge I'm so jealous! I have zero pro pictures, and I'm glad the HM was so long because it took my mind off of checking for them. Not that I didn't everytime we found a cafe with wifi.

I was slightly obsessed with checking for pro pics on our HM too but my photographer made it easy by posting them to my FB, which then sent me a text that a picture had been put on my wall. Love him.
Hugs to both midge and hockey -- I'll be thinking of you both!
And happy birthday muni!! It's my MOH's birthday today too
I did end up going to that happy hour last night after I got done with my hair appointment. No one knew anything about my co-worker being fired (I guess she isn't answering texts or phone calls either), but there was plenty of other drama. When we got there everybody was shitfaced already. One girl was flirting incessantly with a married coworker. He then left and she went into crazy drunken crying mode on the patio.
Another friend finally got her in a cab and took her home only to call me 10 minutes later when they discovered she'd left her purse on the table and had no way to get into her apartment, so after I closed and paid for both of their tabs (drunk girl had NINE captain and cokes and an order of hummus FTR) FI and I took them her purse. Of course we didn't know exactly where she lived on this one way street so we were just driving really slowly and trying to find them.
This is probably a P&R depending on when the babies wake up but dear Lord, nobody ever needs 9 rum and cokes! Did she make it to work today? I'd be dead.

She's here and looks cuter than I do. I do, however, think she's still, at least a little, drunk.

It's interesting to see them start to run that fine line of discount vs. department store. Obviously they're trying to build a niche for themselves because competing with Macy's sounds like a tough thing to do.
My sister had the best photog I've ever seen. I am insanely jealous of her pics. He even uploaded them between the ceremony/pics and the party and brought his favourite on a slideshow on his ipad and had it displayed. Now there is advertising! Her pictures blow my mind.
