  • Eff.. I walked the dog to the mailbox and now I can't catch up.  She's laying across the room staring at her food dish again hoping I'll feed her.  Pathetic - and pitiful - and adorable :)

[QUOTE]No, I used to hate cold tea but now love it. Do you like Teavana tea? It's amazing!

I've had their chai tea and I love it.

  • I can't stand coffee.  I love the smell of it, but can't stand the taste.  Not even college could turn me into a coffee drinker.  I fully place the blame for this on my grandparents.  I must've been 5 or 6 when I spent the night at their house one Friday night and the next morning grandma poured my orange juice in one of their coffee mugs.  I grabbed grandma's coffee thinking it was my oj, took a huge sip and have been turned off ever since.

  • Eags, how are your migraines?

Loops, does she ever lick her food dish, and then look at you like "look, mom, I cleaned the plate...but I'm still so hunnnnngggrrrryyyyyy"?  My parents' dog used to do that all the time.

Beachy, My H will come mow your grass. He's the weird one who actually loves mowing. Since we live in an apartment he misses it.

[QUOTE]J, I have to be honest, they're staying pretty frequent.  A couple a week.  I'm just trying to hold out until the wedding, and I'm going to make an appointment with the doctor to talk about the injectable Imitrex in case an emergency pops up.  I tell FI I'm marrying him for his shiny health insurance.

Are they a relative new thing, or something you've had for years?  What have you done to try to manage them without meds?  Have you kept a headache journal and figured out your triggers?

  • Teavana tea tastes and smells amazing, but I just can't bring myself to buy any.  I know I'll get hooked on it and it's so fucking expensive.

  • J&K - no - she knows when she's done, she's done.  She just gets anxious when it's almost time to eat.

  • Those lemurs are incredibly adorable. I probably would have tried to take one home.
  • J - I think there are two babies. They are 2 weeks old. They didn't get to eat the grapes.

Beachy - I like the lawn boy idea. I think FI would even like the idea since he hates yard work.

Eagles I started drinking black coffee at 10 because my doctor said it would help my asthma.

Have you heard of using peppermint oil for your migraines?

  • When we have a house again, I may very well get a lawn boy :).  I'll have to see what I can do to convince H it's a good idea though.
  • Who else mentioned You've Got Mail earlier? I just found it on Bravo!
  • I love You've got Mail.  I have it on DVD.  I think I like it better than Sleepless In Seattle.

Anything hot and caffeinated would have done that.  Silly doctor.  I can't imagine saying "Hey, 10 year old girl, drink some black coffee!"  I chain drank tea this past October when my asthma got really bad and I couldn't see a doctor.

  • Aww Eagles, I hope you get it figured out soon and get some relief.

I think I would rather have an unattractive cleaning lady than a hot lawn boy if I had to choose.

</div><div>H bought me a trial gift box with their mini brewer, it's wonderful! It came with 4 or 5 different teas, tins and rock sugar, it's a great deal. But the upkeep with the tea supply is pricey.

  • Petal - I think I agree with you.
  • AOL is such a blast from the past. I have fond memories of that little mail icon and the IM window off to the side. It always reminds me of the summer of 1999, when I lived with my ex-BF and spent every evening looking at pictures of apartments we couldn't afford (on apartments.com, which was the only site with interior pictures at that time - Craigslist wasn't around then).
