Hi! I'm in Europe, so I'm almost at lunch time. I think this is the first time I have posted on the first page of the morning thread.
Aleigh- good luck starting your internship.
Ah the night of no sleep, must be an epidemic. Same here in Western, NY. Drank a diet dr. pepper before bed, and couldn't fall asleep, then my daughter is home from college and she was moving around late last night, and then FI got called to work at 4:20 am. Dragging, Dragging, Dragging.

Don't be too jealous. I'm actually working like crazy. I should be listening to a seminar right now.
I'm outside Barcelona. I'll be here the next two weeks. We should have some time for sightseeing and fun next weekend. In the meantime, the weather is great and do is the path outside my hotel on the Mediterranean. I'm getting some great runs in.
Ooh. I have fond memories of being in Barcelona in my early 20s. The weather must be comparably nice right now compared to home too. You eat meat, right? Eat lots of jamon iberico de bellota. Oh, and if you get bored of the city proper, go visit Montserrat.
Okay so, back in 2009 I had an abnormal pap smear so the gyn suggested I come in every 6 months instead of once a year. Well I received a bill for $85 from the local hospital (I think that's where they send the pap smears for tests? I don't know) and I assumed it was because we had to check our insurance and make sure they would pay for 2 pap smears a year instead of just one.
I was still living at home so my mom called the insurance and worked it and we thought it was taken care of. Well a couple of months ago I checked my credit report for the first time and that $85 was never payed by insurance so it was sent to collections. This is the only negative thing on my credit report and it has screwed my credit to hell. So my question is..does anyone know what I need to do to get rid of this? I tried calling the number given on the credit report and it was the collections agency and they just wanted my money and couldn't help me.
Should I call the hospital? Insurance company? Should I just pay it and hope it goes away? Sorry about all the questions so early in the morning. I just really need to get this taken care of and don't know where to start.
I would contact the insurance company and try to fix it that way. If it looks like a giant headache, I'd probably just pay it because it's not a ton of money. $85 shouldn't be allowed to ruin your credit.

Aleigh if you are ok with paying the bill to the collection agency then call them when you have the money. Tell them that you're willing to pay the $85 balance IF they take the charge completely off your credit. There are letters you can google for this, don't just take a verbal agreement though, you have to get every correspondence in writing. So you can either have them fax you or mail you the terms of the agreement (signed by a manager) and then you'll call them back and pay the bill. Don't let them tell you they can't take it off your credit, they can, they just don't want to. Ask to speak to a manager and keep calling back until they agree to take it off your report.
The insurance company can't do anything about your credit report, but the collection company can. Google is your friend for how to approach them.
I'm pretty proud of myself. I actually made it out of bed for a 5:15 kickboxing class. I haven't managed to do that in a long time. I'm hoping I can keep it going. Though, my shoulders are already killing me, I think I'll have to convince FI to give me a massage tonight.

I work out after work and before dinner. It's totally a personal preference though - I just don't like working out in the morning, and if I work out after I eat I feel sick.
What's wrong with your blog?
ETA: Both cookaholicwife.blogspot.com and just .com are showing up fine for me.
I've found in the past I'm more consistent if I get up early to work out. It involves getting up before 5, but it's over for the day.
If I don't do mornings, I try to go right after work (without going home first). Once I get home, chances are slim to none that I'll actually go out of the house to work out.
I hope the credit rating gets fixed, but I've also heard lots of people don't hold medical things against you, since obviously that can hit anyone.

Re: Monday Morning
My darned dog woke me up twice last night. Thank goodness she's cute because otherwise, I'd want to strangle her.
