I've known several people to do that.  You can get it encapsulated. It's supposed to really help with hormone balancing and post-birth blues.

  • Aleigh, I've heard that it can be good for the mother but I don't think I could bring myself to do it.

  • Morning all,

Chels, you are beaming, totally sweet.  Enjoy your honeymoon.

Stacks, two hours to play this afternoon.  Woot Woot.  Want to go get my hairs done for me?  As much as I want to go and sit in the chair and drink wine while they do my hairs, I could also use that time in other ways.

Bay, good for you.  What Stacks said is totally true.  Take this time for Bay, enjoy the summer, do what is best for you.

8 days folks, 8 days, to say I am bouncing off the walls would be an understatement.  4 days until my sister and mom from Colorado meet me in the 1000 Islands.  Life right now is a series of really fun events, one right after the other.
  • Wow Aleigh, not sure I could do that.  EVER.  I am totally a wuss about what goes in my mouth.

  • Holy crap, Ski!  Where did the time go?!  Congrats!

  • Morning. I'm getting ready to go to an optional breakfast meeting for regular job. I'm hoping to meet other counselors and make contacts.

We booked our honeymoon 11 months out and the flights about 6 months out.

Bay - I'm glad things are working out with the house.

Yah, no placenta for this girl.

  • Bay I'm glad things worked out at the place, and ditto stacks. D we didn't book(a cruise) until mid April.
  • That is so exciting Ski!! I can't wait for your pictures!

I could never eat the placenta. Thinking about it makes me gag even. More power to the women who can!
  • Megbo, too!

I kind of love the spring-fall busy season when everyone's getting married and I get to look at pretty pictures.

  • Wow Aleigh. I could have gone my whole life without having needed to see that post.
  • Good Morning!

Nothing like a little placenta talk in the morning!

FI and I went to our trivia night last night.  One of the other people that we compete against decided we were cheaters and announced it in a not so quiet voice.  Yeah, we were pissed.  Hey idiot, we aren't cheating, we're just better than you, get over it.  Ugh, I'm still kind of ticked off about it.

  • Boss's nephew and his dog are still here, but leaving today.  I am in love with this dog.  Sort of makes me want to get one, but not while I'm in school and so busy.  Maybe next year or something.

  • Chrissy!!! So how did the long chat go? Sounds like it went well. :) Full report! ;)

    MEG - 4 DAYS!

Aw. :) I'm sure you weren't as bad as you think. He did talk to you for 5 hours after all.
  • Haha sorry for the visual. I should post a picture of the "placenta prints" the girl does before she puts it in a capsule.
  • I'm excited but FI might be more excited than me.
  • Morning!  Found out last night we have to buy a new AC unit. $5000...ugh.

Aleigh-I am with Snippy.  Could have gone my whole life without knowing people do that.

I worked out yesterday for the first time in a LONG time and am feeling it today.  It's a good sore, but sore nonetheless.  I know tomorrow will be worse, but I have the bootcamp again bright and early tomorrow morning, so hope that helps out.

Congrats to everyone getting married soon!
  • She may have a rude awakening, Aleigh.  The hospital where my mom works in L&D doesn't allow the family to have the placenta post-birth.  It's considered an organ, so lotus birth and giving the placenta to the family is prohibited as the hospital considers it a biohazard, not only to the new baby, but to the staff and visitors.

  • I have no desire to see placenta prints...
  • Morning.  This cold is kicking my ass.  I'm crossing my fingers my dogs don't trash the house we're dog-sitting at.  Today is their first test.

Bay, I'm glad you finally got that all sorted out.  Space will be good for you.

  • Good morning all!

The barn cats got into a fight with something on the porch at 1am and I didn't get to sleep last night. I went out to check on them and they ran into my house and left me on the porch.

My cohort and work and I are dressed alike. Again. It's scarry, we do this a lot and we don't plan it. LOL

  • Good Morning.

I am old(er) today.  I feel no different.

Our final offer is going in on the house today.  I hope they meet us in the middle.  Our realtor thinks we are right on track, but their realtor is a ball buster, so we'll see what happens.  I love this house a lot.  I just want to sink my teeth into the project.  I hope we get it today.  What a great birthday present that would be!

Bay - Yay on the move!

Chels - Congrats on the wedding!  You look beautiful.
