Much more flammable.  Because while I think reporting is kind of lame, I can also understand it if you think there is too much offensive stuff for it to stay in the thread. So I could see either side. But if it's that the AE's are adding TOO MUCH STRESS FOR THE JUNE BRIDES, that's a little over the top.
Posted by djhar
Don't get me wrong, I'm getting stressed as hell. Some of these girls are 2 weeks out now.  But for real? I laughed more today than I have all week. I'm glad they did it.
• Yeah DJ, Chels's description of them is pretty right on. We've been having "arguments" (read disagreements) over there over stupid crap and people just come back with "Let's stop fighting and get back to wedding planning!"

I'm kinda sick of wedding planning. I don't need to do it every waking hour of every day. I will talk about something else if I want.
• I totally agree Andrea. The same thing happened with the "personhood amendment" in MS. The counties with universities voted against it and the backwoods counties didn't. It should really tell you something.

So sure, most people would do Ben Affleck for 100 million. Now here's the real test: Would you do that creepy guy who lives down the street from you? Or the janitor with the lazy eye? Or the homeless man who wanders down the street screaming about the socialists?

That's a real test of how bad you want 100 million dollars.

• I flame the person who jumped all over an OP for saying she was gonna get medication for her anxiety issues. Don't remember who it was though, because I'm an idiot. So I also flame myself. But come on. Just because someone doesn't believe in medication doesn't mean everyone else has to follow suit. If I recall, it turned out to be "only as a last resort" but still, some people don't have the patience or the insurance to cover years of therapy that would be required to deal with issues without meds.

Posted by djhar
It's very dramatic.  We have an offboard-that-must-not-be-named that was public for a long time.  Then some trolls decided to start posting personal info off it, so the admin made it private and also kicked out anyone who nobody knew (i.e. people who lurk but don't interact). These handfull of lurkers got all pissy about us being "clique-y" and that we were just being mean and that if we had a problem with security then we should leave the group so that they could join since it was "our problem".

It was snippy and kind of habs. And snippy wasn't even saying no one should ever go on drugs ever -- that would be dumb given that she openly talks about using meds.

Ah, but you weren't the only one, and you did say that it should only be after other possibilities have been exhausted. I tend to agree, but half the people were jumping down her throat about it. Not everyone feels that way about medication. I take meds (when I have insurance), and I believe that people should try alternatives first. I just feel like I shouldn't judge other people's choices about that stuff. They have a doctor, and they are making informed decisions.
