Tacori Engagement Ring!!  I fell in love with it a year before we got engaged and getting this ring was a total surprise!  Congratulations to all the other newly engaged ladies!

And this is the side view...

  •  I love love love love love this ring! It belonged to my great grandmother. She found it stuck in a sidewalk crack in Albany, NY (lucky!) and when she passed away, it went to my grandmother. She wore it every day and since she passed away it's been sitting in my mother's jewelry box. When my fiance went to my parents to ask for their blessing, my mom gave him the choice between this ring and another that had been my great grandmother's actual engagement ring. He sure does listen when I talk because he picked the one I've wanted since I was a little girl! I couldn't be happier with it!
  • This is my ring!! I showed my fiance a picture of a ring I really wanted. That ring looked nothing like this one but I LOVE this ring. I get so many compliments on it! A huge bonus is they are estate diamonds...so he saved a lot of money and still got a BEAUTIFUL ring.
  • Rapoz - We have the SAME ring!!  The only difference is that I have a round center stone.  I LOVE IT!!  :)

  • Brian proposed to me 3 times.  The first time without a ring, the 2nd time we picked out a promise ring together.  The 3rd time we went to a jeweler.  I designed my ring and hand picked my 1 carat center stone.  I was dead set on having something different so I chose rose gold for the setting.  It turned out beautiful.  Sorry the pictures are so cruddy!  The 3rd time he proposed with this ring in front of my Daddy.  Very meaningful to me!!  It sparkles, it makes me feel beautiful and I love showing it off!
I am LOVING the pictures of all the gorgeous engagement rings!!!  Just beautiful ladies!!!

1.5 cushion cut center stone with .75 ct in the halo and band in a palladium setting. All the stones in my ring are moissanite. I would love to say he picked it out himself but I gave him some help Wink

  • I knew I wanted a brightly colored stone, and we found a jeweler who specialized in tsavorites.  Our jeweler's father-in-law actually mined the stone.  I just love how bright and happy the ring turned out!

  • I love my ring- after months of looking and almost custom designing a ring with qualities I liked from several different rings, we finally picked out a setting together and he picked the center stone.

  • We have talked heavily of marriage. I actually stumbled upon my future engagement ring while on the internet one day. I absolutely love it, and so does he! We're also looking at wedding bands that have a similar vibe. Picture below-
  • Well my camera stinks and doesn't have enough clarity to get a great picture but I found one that is very similar to mine! (with the exception that I have a round center stone and is in platinum which gives it a more vintage look)
My fiance and I went "shopping" for them and I found this ring and just loved it. He went to go get it and it had been moved to another store because they were going out of business. We didn't have the item number so it would have been next to impossible to find it! My fiance eventually tracked down the ring two states away and proposed to me on the ice at Rockefeller Center in NYC in December!

  •  my FI picked me the most gorgeous ring! I told him a few things that I liked and he found the perfect ring. Honestly, I'd never have picked a different one. Princess cut with antique designs around the band. He proposed after a disaster of a day (parking ticketS, spilling honey mustard all down my white outfit as I was supposed to meet his friends, pouring down rain (frizzing my hair and ruining makeup), changed into his clothes, dumped ice cream down HIS shirt)...I made the comment that he MUST love me after all that...and he told me he definitely did and always would no matter what. He said he wanted to do this later but now was too perfect...and he sang me a song he'd been writing me since we began dating over a year ago and proposed!
  • I love seeing everyone's gorgeous rings!! We picked out this ring together. It was the second one we tried on and it is perfect!! I love love love it!!

    Picture from the website!
  • Ring from Kay Jewelers. He picked it out himself, with some help from his best friend Miranda. He had been coyly collecting ideas of what I might like by pretending Miranda was the one getting engaged soon and that she had been asking him about rings. I didn't suspect a thing.
  • I hope this works!

FI and I had been talking marriage for quite some time and while shopping, I found a gorgeous pear halo ring that was just amazing. I had looked at a lot of rings, but that ring was the one I wanted.

When I got home, I showed a picture of it to (then) boyfriend and he agreed that he really liked it. A week later, he went to the store (I didn't know about this then) and it was gone! He was a bit upset and told his mother about it and how I had really loved the pear shape. Well! It was fate, because his mother had recently inherited some jewelry from his grandmother and one of them was a pear shaped stone!

He looked for a setting for a while, before just telling me about the stone and asking if I would help. We looked around for a couple of weeks before choosing this custom designed setting! My stone is colorless, .75 carats, and the setting is another .25 carats. My wedding band is going to be made out of a diamond pendant that belonged to my grandmother! So it will be his grandma, my grandma, and us! I love it the history behind it.

  • Mine is a 3 stone princess cut ring with pave diamonds around it.  It's 2.4 carets t.w.  I didn't think he was serious when he took me to the store so I picked out the biggest, shiniest one in the store.  Little did I know that he bought it the next day.

We got engaged 2 weeks ago at the new Yankee Stadium.

FINALLY! lol the way he asked was sooo cute. We have a 5 month old welsh corgi names lucy. He put the ring on a ribbon and tied it around her neck and told her to "get mom" she came into the living room and pounced on me. My fiance asked wat she had around her neck..i was in shock he then got down on one knee!!! =) it was amazing!!

  • It was his mom's but was in a gold setting and I am a silver only wearer.  Picked it out all by himself and I think did a fantastic job.  I love the way the prongs curve up to surround it.   I used to say I never wanted a ring but now I just keep staring at this one. Smile

  • I saw the ring on eBay and fell in love with it, but I didn't know he'd actually purchased it until he proposed! So, it was a surprise even though I picked it out. It's  an art deco vintage estate ring.

  • 18k white gold, half carat cushion cut amethyst centre flanked by two .25 princess cut diamonds.

I love my ring. It's so different! Amethyst is my birthstone and I've always loved it. I designed the ring myself and had it custom made. The guy did a REALLY good job for our budget. For our wedding bands we're definitely going back, and I'm getting his birthstone (citrine) alternating with diamonds for it.
  • FI and I went to a custom jeweller together after looking at a ton of rings in different stores.  We couldn't find one we really loved.  This one didn't turn out exactly how we had planned it ...it's much better!  I love the centre diamond so much, it's a sustainable Canadian diamond which was so important to me.

  • The 2.8 carat round cut diamond belonged to his Grandmother, but was set in a large gold cocktail ring he knew I would not like.  He knew I liked platinum so he picked out this setting with four side baguette diamond.

We met and fell in love during a four day vacation with friends in Baltimore and make the trip every year.  2 years and 1 day after our first kiss he proposed at the spot we first met outside the Baltimore Convention Center.

  • We have been engaged a while...getting married in less than two months!  He spent days and days driving into LA when I just thought he was working late to pick out the perfect ring.  I had given him three photos of rings I like and three that I really didn't like, and this is nothing like the ones I said I liked but it's perfect!  He was very adament on picking it out and not letting me just tell him which ring I wanted.  He actually ended up working with the jeweler to help design it.  :)  I spent the whole first night we were engaged staring at my ring because I was so amazed..still spend lots of time staring and it's been on my finger 7 months!

  • FH and I picked this mounting out together. The diamond has been in the family for years. It is an Old European Cut from the early 1900s. The mounting has baguettes on all sides and is from Jareds

I actually sent my fiance a picture of the ring I wanted in an e-mail with the subject line reading "This one??".  I'm not one for subtle hints because he doesn't pick up on them anyway.  It's a Simon G design.  What I love most about it is that the claws have a north-south-eash-west orientation rather than the traditional square setting.  (And here's a tip for you ladies - apparently that orientation makes your fingers look slimmer - that's what our jewler told us).

I knew he had ordered the ring before we went on vacation to the UK but didn't know if it had come in or not.  On our first night in London after seeing a play at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, along the shore with the city lights bouncing off the water he proposed.  What was best was that we still had 2 more weeks of our vacation left so we decided to wait to tell people until we got home giving us time to simply enjoy our 'happy engagement bubble' without having to field a zillion questions.

I love this picture the most.  We took it right after he asked me and he still looks a little stunned! :)

  • He designed it with a local jeweler. there are exactly 100 diamonds in it; they came from all over the world. the center stone is cut with the jewelers signature method...if you look at it from the top you can see how it was cut into a perfect starburst. the ring fits my personality to a T...he knew exactly what he was doing...i'm so lucky!

    Ben Moss' Endless Love.
Truely the most beautiful ring I could have ever asked for.
  • edited June 2010
It all started in August 2009 when we were shopping for a watch for my brithday. We had gone to just about every jewelry store in town and found nothing that I liked or wanted to wear. (I have VERY unique/eclectic taste and don't like having "the norm".)

We were in one store and I heard him gasp from across the store. I came over and he was standing in front of a case of rings. He pointed one out and we both fell in love with it. It was funky, unique and definitely not traditional.

Fast forward to December and he surprised me with the proposal- and the ring! When we get married in October 2010 I'll wear the engagement ring on my right hand and wedding band on the left. We're having the bands custom made with each other's finger prints engraved.
