I would also like to point out that there is a big difference between an overweight person losing weight and an obese person losing weight. One, the amount of weight it takes to go from overweight to normal is a lot less than it would be for an obese person to go to a normal weight range. So, two, the effort it would take in general will be very different (not to mention that each individual views and perceives levels of effort differently). And three, an overweight person probably has enough self-esteem and judgy assholes to get over to lose weight so can you imagine what an obese person has to deal with?

I going to guess from your avatar pick that an extra 40 lbs put you in the overweight category and not obese. So while I don't think you have any right to judge anyone on their effort to lose weight, I really don't think you can judge someone who is considered obese.
